Okay so, after you beat Kirby Star Allies' story mode, you unlock a noncanon "What if?" sidemode titled "Guest Star ?????" wherein you can play as one of the recruitable "Friends" from the main game and go through a campaign catered specifically to their abilities.
The "What if?" is basically "What if this character was the protagonist instead of Kirby?" and it got me thinking: How cool would it be to get a Kingdom Hearts game where, after beating the main story, you unlock a side mode where you can go on that same adventure, but you play as one of Sora's party members.
I then realized that Disney would never let Rapunzel visit the Caribbean, or Marshmallow fistfight the Ice Titan, but then I realized that there does, in fact, exist a Kingdom Hearts game that would allow for exactly the scenario I presented here:
Dream Drop Distance, except instead of playing as Sora or Riku, you play as one of the Spirit Dream Eaters, so long as you've unlocked that Spirit in the main story.
It would work well with the Command Deck system, the Drop Gauge could be replaced with a (replenishable) time limit to complete the world in, and the Reality Shifts could be replaced with a mechanic that lets you turn enemy Nightmares into allied Spirits.
Just remove all the non-Nightmare bosses, and just have the story be "As a Dream Eater, it is your duty to eat Nightmares" and viola: You have an engaging post game campaign with a lot of replay value.
Heck, the Final Boss could just be the Anti Black Coat Nightmare from Riku's scenario. Or an entirely new Dream Eater.
(Armored Aqua Nightmare?)
True, it may be impossible for a lot of disney characters do some world hopping due to Disney meddling. They did do something like that though with Riku in com(though the disney worlds were almost exclusively fighting with little cutscenes). What would i have given for Kairi and Axel playable training segments.
The dream eater side missions would be interesting. The idea of Riku waking up and realizing that wait there are more spirits by his side compared to when he Dropped cue confusion. Black Coat Nightmare: *roars* Meo Wow: *shoves a dream eater treat into its hood/mouth* Black Coat Nightmare: *is no longer evil*

Drawn Together: Chapter 13
!!WARNING!! This chapter includes slurs and homophobia, please proceed with caution.
Artisloveandlife: Ludwig I have a question Artisloveandlife: Do zombies get smarter after they eat a human brain?
Feliciano had no idea why he was asking that kind of question to a person he met yesterday. He has been cleaning the kitchen, as one does, when it suddenly popped into his head.
'Well, nothing in my life makes sense anymore so it's fine.' He thought, but quickly snapped out of his daze as Antonio entered with Lovino.
"I can't believe you got Feli to clean up the kitchen. This day is going down in history!" Lovino said, throwing his arms in the air as if he was thanking God for this blessing.
Antonio kissed his cheek. "He's doing a very good job at it, be nicer to him." Lovino almost chocked at that comment.
Feliciano chose not to comment anything on it and instead handed Lovino a deck brush, daring to suggest his brother actually does some work. "You're always telling me to be useful, set me a good example." He smiled before receiving a smack to his shoulder. "Ow!"
"Sassy bastard!" Lovino said, but grabbed the brush anyway. If Feliciano wants him to work, he's going to work and he'll work better than anyone.
That being said, it took him less than a minute to give up and pass the brush to Romeo, who had the unfortunate luck to show up in a very unfortunate moment. "Nonno'll be here any second and you're much faster than me." Is the reasoning Romeo got behind this sudden job. This meant that everyone, aside from Lovino, had something to do.
It was around 9 p. m. when they were finished with the chores, and just on time it seems.
"My boys! Where are you? Come greet your old grandpa!" A deep melodic voice sounded off from the hall, just as the three of them sat down. The youngest two were, naturally, the first to sprint towards their grandpa. He couldn't lift them up as he used to, but it didn't bother them much.
"Nonno!" Feliciano squeeled, glad to have him home finally.
"How was the trip, Nonno? Did you bring us presents?" Romeo asked, cuddling close to the old man still breathing with life.
"Meo, that's rude." Feliciano remarked.
"I did ask how the trip went first." Romeo defended.
Their grandpa just laughed the whole thing off, glad that his boys never change. His eyes scanned around for Lovino, finding him standing by the doorframe, looking quite uncertain. He smiled to his eldest grandson before turning his attention back to the two in front of him. "Now, now. Don't fight over such silly things. Of course I brought presents for my lovely boys."
Both Romeo's and Feliciano's eyes glowed, going back to hug their grandpa much stronger this time, just as Feliciano felt his phone vibrate, reminding him of the happiness of this moment. They finally let their grandpa free to check for presents.
"Welcome home, Mr. Vargas." Antonio greeted, joining Lovino by the doorframe.
"Oh, Toni. I didn't know you are here as well. And cut the formality already, just call me Grandpa Rome." Grandpa Rome said, shaking Antonio's hand and patting him on the shoulder, before turning his attention to Lovino. "Lovi, my beautiful boy, come give your grandpa a hug." He said and pulled the reluctant Lovino in for a hug. "You look worried, did the dinner come out bad? You know your grandpa will eat anything you boys make, isn't that right?"
Lovino laughed. He needed that, even if that wasn't what has been bothering him. "Yeah... You always ate our weird shit." He said.
"That's right." Grandpa Rome smiled. "Now chin up and fix your language, my boy." And the three of them left for the kitchen.
Grandpa Rome told them all kinds of stories on the dinner table, entertaining them as they ate, but Feliciano could sense a weird vibe from Lovino. The one he usually felt just as Lovino was about to break down and cry. And he wasn't the only one who could feel it. Antonio had been secretly holding Lovino's hand underneath the table this whole time.
"You know, you wouldn't believe how full of faggots Europe is." Grandpa Rome said, startling the four of them. "At this point, you can't even walk down the street without running into one of them."
Feliciano's eyes immediately raced towards Lovino. Lovino just looked down at his plate, silently begging his grandpa to stop. It was all so wrong. Even Romeo sensed something wasn't quite right and he had no idea what was going on. Silence fell upon them.
Antonio chose to break it first. "You know Mr. Vargas, that's not really a nice word." He looked unsure, the moment those words left his mouth he regretted them.
Grandpa Rome gave him a side eye and Feliciano knew it was all going to go downhill from now on, yet he spoke. "Toni's right. We're all human and we should be respectful of each other." Feliciano wasn't known for his courage much, but this was different. This was about his brother.
Grandpa Rome kept quiet, taking a few bites of his dinner before so obviously deciding he didn't like it anymore. "Is there something you want to tell me, Feli?" He finally spoke, his words harsh and crushing Lovino's heart.
Feliciano just shook his head, offering one final glance towards Lovino before he let his head fall down to look at his hands. He shouldn't have done that, because as soon as he looked at Lovino, Grandpa Rome noticed. Romeo really wanted to excuse himself by this point.
As he felt deep chocolate brown eyes staring deeply into his soul, Lovino looked back at them, tears already welling up in his hazel eyes. Can this be over already? He stared into his grandpa's eyes for what felt like ages, before Grandpa Rome spoke. "And you, Lovi? What do you have with the faggots?"
Lovino doesn't break the eye contact, but it was Antonio who answered. "We're together. Me and Lovi, we're dating." Lovino wasted no time in running away from the table. The secret was out, his life was over.
Grandpa Rome stared at Antonio in a way that made Feliciano and Romeo want to sink further down in their seats. Their grandpa never looked at anyone like that. "My own grandson..." Grandpa Rome said in utter disbelief before getting up and walking towards Antonio who stood up. "I expected more from him. I expected more from you, Antonio." His voice was coated in disgust.
Antonio kept his stare firm on Grandpa Rome's eyes, his face serious. "Then you shouldn't have made him so perfect." Antonio said calmly, but he was more afraid than ever before.
Feliciano clutched his phone, hoping Lovino or Ludwig or Elizabeta or anyone would send him a text to let him know everything will be fine. Because right now, everything wasn't fine. Romeo held Feliciano's yellow sweater, hoping the same as he drew himself closer to his brother.
"Get out." Grandpa Rome said. "Get out and don't you dare come back to this house again, Antonio!" He shoved Antonio aside and left the kitchen, the three of them hoping he wouldn't go find Lovino.
Feliciano tore away from Romeo, running towards Antonio for a hug. His heart was breaking as he felt Antonio tremble under his arms, but he still lifted his hands to pet Feliciano's brown hair.
"I'm sorry, Toni." Feliciano whispered. Romeo left his seat to join the hug. "I'm really sorry." Feliciano said.
Antonio smiled, his eyes betraying his real emotion, but refused to let Feliciano and Romeo see them. He had to keep his tears for himself. "Take good care of him for me, will you both?" He asked.
They both nodded and Antonio broke the hug, making his way out of the house. As he did, he stopped and looked up towards Lovino's room, no doubt thinking that's where Lovino most likely run off to. He whispered something before leaving, not looking back. Feliciano could swear on his entire art career that Antonio's final words before leaving were directed towards Lovino. A silent 'I love you.'
Feliciano and Romeo cuddled up on the couch. They could only wait now for either Lovino or Grandpa Rome to come back down now.
"I had no idea..." Romeo whispered.
Feliciano nodded. "I found out accidentally. It wasn't supposed to come out like this." He said. "Sorry for not telling you, Lovi told me to keep it quiet."
"I get it." Romeo wiped at something close to his eye and Feliciano begged the world it wasn't a tear. "This is a bad place for being gay. If it was elsewhere in the world, I would have thrown a coming out party."
Feliciano laughed. "If it was elsewhere, we'd get to watch Lovi get so drunk we'd have to carry him back to his room."
"He'd be less grumpy too."
"That's Lovi, he's always grumpy." Feliciano said, dwelling deep into his thoughts. "Now that you mention it, he seemed a lot more happier these past few days that he spent with Toni."
Romeo was silent.
"I wish they could be happy forever." Feliciano commented, finally allowing himself to cry. Oh, how he needed to cry.
After a while, Romeo had enough of waiting and went up to his room to get his mind off everything that happened that night. Feliciano completely understood, he wanted to run away to his room as well, but doing that would only make Grandpa Rome angrier. At least his battery wasn't completely drained.
For the first time that night, Feliciano read Ludwig's message.
Lutzie71: Logically yes, but in practice no.
Artisloveandlife: Hahahahahahah Artisloveandlife: Thanks i needed that
It was well past midnight, Feliciano didn't expect a response from Ludwig anytime soon, but once he started climbing the stairs back to his room, his phone vibrated.
Lutzie71: I hope you are alright, whatever it is.
Somehow, those few words from a stranger meant more to Feliciano than anything his closest friends ever said to him. It could be that the situation was really tough and he needed some assurance, or he just didn't have friends who cared much. It didn't matter, he just needed those words.
Artisloveandlife: Thank you Artisloveandlife: Im alright but my brother isnt Artisloveandlife: And i want to help but i dont know how
Lutzie71: Sometimes just being by their side is enough Lutzie71: My brother used to read to me whenever I upset Lutzie71: Maybe something similar could help
Artisloveandlife: Id sneak into his bedroom when i had nightmares and sleep with him Artisloveandlife: Hed be mad at me but then he would tell me that its all going to be okay and that he ll protect me
Lutzie71: Maybe this time you should be the one to protect him
Artisloveandlife: Thank you Ludwig Artisloveandlife: Also sorry for not answering for a while Artisloveandlife: We ve been cleaning all day and then the whole thing with my brother happened it was a crazy day
Lutzie71: It is alright Lutzie71: I don't mind waiting
Artisloveandlife: You didnt stay glued to the phone all this tine waiting for my reply did you ??
Lutzie71: You can't prove anything
Artisloveandlife: Your so cute Artisloveandlife: You re*
Lutzie71: You learn quickly
Artisloveandlife: I was a str8 A student Artisloveandlife: Jk i failed math Artisloveandlife: But i lived
Lutzie71: Yes life is important, but do you know what else is important?
Artisloveandlife: What
Lutzie71: Knowing the quadratic formula
Artisloveandlife: Meanie Artisloveandlife: Im an artist its all about the feeling not finding x Artisloveandlife: Ive been single since birth i dont even have an x
Lutzie71: Poor you Lutzie71: Although I must admit my dating skills aren't exactly the best either
Artisloveandlife: Forever alone club
Lutzie71: Indeed
Artisloveandlife: My battery is about to die so i guess this is goodbye for now Artisloveandlife: Ill go and try to take care of my brother but i doubt ill be successful Artisloveandlife: Ttyl Ludwig
Lutzie71: Will you ever tell me what it means? Lutzie71: Best of luck to you and your brother
Artisloveandlife: What ??
Lutzie71: What does ttyl mean?
Artisloveandlife: Talk to you later
Lutzie71: Well... that makes sense Lutzie71: Ttyl, goodnight Feliciano
Artisloveandlife: Nighty night Ludwig
As soon as he sent that message, his battery died. Sighing, Feliciano climbed up the stairs to Lovino's room.
Lovino's and Romeo's rooms were both on the 3rd floor, above Grandpa Rome's room and a guest room. The good thing was that each floor also had their own toilet, so there was no need for a race to who needs it the most. What was specific to the 3rd floor was that it was the only one with the bathtub.
Lovino's room was on the right side of the hall, directly above Grandpa Rome's room, so Feliciano suspected that Lovino wouldn't cry too loud and anger Grandpa even more. Feliciano also didn't believe that Grandpa hated non-straight people, he must have been feeling just a bit under the weather and this would all be settled properly soon. He hoped it to be true.
Feliciano slowly entered Lovino's room. "Lovi? Are you asleep?" He whispered.
Lovino just shuffled around in his bed, hiding his face away with the pillow and his back turned to Feliciano. Feliciano entered the room and crawled into Lovino's bed. "Can I sleep with you tonight?" Feliciano asked.
"Sure..." Came a soft answer, Lovino's voice numb from crying.
"Thanks." Feliciano cuddled close to his brother, just like they used to be back in the day. "Hey Lovi?" He called after a few minutes.
"Hm?" Lovino answered.
"I made a new friend."
"Yeah?"
"Mhm. Do you remember Lizzie from Middle school?"
"The one who used to do your biology homework?"
"Yes! That's her." Feliciano laughed at the memory. "She got married, you know. And she introduced me to her husband's cousin."
"Okay." Lovino said.
"He liked my art that I made for that book, but you know what?"
"What?"
"He's Ludwig. He's the author of the book. And he's my friend."
Silence.
"Why are you telling me this? You know I hate Germans." Lovino asked, turning around to face his brother, his eyes were red from the tears.
"I know. And I thought that if I told you that, you would focus more on your hatred towards them and the pain from the dinner will go away." Feliciano answered.
Lovino was silent yet again. He really did need to focus on something else and not that dreadful dinner. It was just so hard knowing that, after tonight, he couldn't see his beloved for who knows how long.
"Let's just sleep, Feli. No Germans, no dinners, just sleep." Lovino finally said, turning around once again and falling asleep as if he was dying.
Feliciano followed suit, but in the final moments before drifting away to sleep, his mind raced towards Ludwig's words to him. Unlike his brother, Feliciano fell asleep with a smile.
The next few days were extremely heavy on the Vargas family. Romeo would often run off somewhere, anywhere just to be away from the house. Grandpa Rome and Lovino refused to talk to each other face to face, with Lovino barely ever leaving his room. Any kind of communication was passed around through Feliciano, and Feliciano had a short living memory, meaning that most of the information trusted upon him to deliver was forgotten.
When he wasn't serving as carrier pigeon to his grandpa and brother, Feliciano entertained himself by talking to Ludwig. It was all still very casual; a few weather comparisons, talking about books and stuff like that. Occasionally, however, Feliciano would send Ludwig something which the former swore made the latter hate and love him at the same time.
Artisloveandlife: So if i were to duplicate myself would the other me get all the information i am getting or do i need to pass it in some way Artisloveandlife: Like if i learned that the chicken came before the egg would the other me know it instantly or do i need to teach them
Lutzie71: You would probably have to teach them Lutzie71: Also egg should come first considering that many species before chickens used eggs for their offspring
Artisloveandlife: How ??
Lutzie71: Well dinosaurs were hatched from eggs and, through evolution, a chicken was born
Artisloveandlife: But what about the chicken egg ??
Lutzie71: Well, with every new species new genes were developed and passed down, but theory egg is always first
Artisloveandlife: But who laid the egg ??
Lutzie71: A T-Rex
Artisloveandlife: Oh
There were other occasions when Feliciano would get too philosophical and Ludwig played along.
Artisloveandlife: I dont understand why we have arms Artisloveandlife: I mean i get it for grabbing stuff and all but Artisloveandlife: Why couldnt it have been something completely else
Lutzie71: Probably because arms were the easiest to develop Lutzie71: They are just upper legs
Artisloveandlife: Oh Artisloveandlife: Why do we have feelings
Lutzie71: Well, what you call feelings might not be feelings at all but emotions Lutzie71: Emotions come from your brain and they stir up some hormones you mistake for feelings Lutzie71: Or it could be nerves like when you touch something cold you would feel cold
Artisloveandlife: So we re kinda like robots
Lutzie71: Yes and no Lutzie71: Robots don't need emotions
Sometimes, they just talked for hours, until one of them fell asleep or their battery died.
Artisloveandlife: Ludwig what kind of movies do you like Artisloveandlife: Im looking for something to watch
Lutzie71: I don't really watch movies, but I like historical dramas Lutzie71: I guess the best example for that would be Saving Private Ryan
Artisloveandlife: Oh i like that genre too Artisloveandlife: I like romance and comedy the most but not really romcoms Artisloveandlife: And my fave historical movie is national treasure
Lutzie71: Can that even be considered a historical movie
Artisloveandlife: Ofc it can Artisloveandlife: I passed my american history exam because of that movie
Lutzie71: First part or the second part?
Artisloveandlife: Theres a 2nd part ??? Artisloveandlife: Wth ive never seen it Artisloveandlife: Now i know what to watch tnx
Lutzie71: I should probably rewatch it as well I've forgotten most of the plot
Artisloveandlife: We could watch it together Artisloveandlife: I think thered an app that lets you watch movies and talk to each othrr
Lutzie71: Are you alright?
Artisloveandlife: Yeah why
Lutzie71: You had a lot of mistakes
Artisloveandlife: Oh that Artisloveandlife: I have big fingers and no autocorrect
Lutzie71: I see Lutzie71: About the app, why don't we just use Skype or other methods Lutzie71: I have never heard of the app that lets you watch movies and talk at the same time
Artisloveandlife: There should be some on app store as far as i know Artisloveandlife: Gotta go now its pigeon time Artisloveandlife: Ttyl Ludwig
Lutzie71: Skree skree Feliciano
That day the tension between his family was at it's peak. It was time for Grandpa Rome to leave again, this time for France, and he still hasn't made peace with Lovino.
"Nonno, you're not going to change anything by not accepting him. He's still going to love Toni." Feliciano tried to convince his grandpa for who knows what time this week. "Just get over it and let him be happy."
"You don't understand it, Feli." Grandpa Rome slapped his fist on the suitcase. "It's unnatural. It's dangerous. And he just can't be happy like that."
Feliciano sighed. "Why do you think that? Why can't he be happy? You haven't seen him with Toni the way I did." He wiped at the tear threatening to fall from his brown eyes. "I haven't seen him that happy since I finished High school. Nonno, please, just let him have that."
"He could get hurt, Feliciano! And neither you nor he understand that!"
"He could only get hurt if he's alone!" Feliciano yelled. "And right now that's exactly what he is. He's alone and hurting and Toni understands and cares for him. Lovi needs him, Nonno. No matter what anyone of us believes in."
"It's wrong, Feliciano!"
"Even if it was, what you're doing is wrong too!"
Silence fell upon them. Feliciano took it as an opportunity to calm down and breathe. He hated fighting, even if it was necessary. He just wanted everyone to accept and love each other, even if they didn't understand each other. "It's not all black and white, Nonno, and for Lovi being gay is completely white. Don't be that black spot that ruins everything. Lovi is still painting his life, staining it..." He whispered. "Staining it would ruin everything. And no one wants that."
Grandpa Rome kept quiet. Feliciano continued. "Do some research, Nonno. You don't have to understand it, but if you love Lovi, tell him. Accept him and learn because you love him and you want to protect him." After that, Feliciano left Grandpa Rome standing over his suitcase in his room.
Lovino never came downstairs to say goodbye to his grandpa. No one blamed him, this was one hell of a week and everyone wanted things to go back to normal. Romeo and Feliciano parted with Grandpa Rome, but before Feliciano could return to the house, Grandpa Rome placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Tell Lovino that I love him for me." Grandpa Rome said and Feliciano nodded. "And tell Toni he can come and visit, but I want him out of the house by 9 p.m." Feliciano's smile grew as he said that, nodding much more intense than before. This was progress.
Grandpa Rome left after that and Feliciano happily returned to the house, immediately racing towards Lovino's room to pass him the news.
Artisloveandlife: I DID IT!!!

Togheter again for the eternity (DTMG story-fanfic)
https://uzuluna.tumblr.com/post/62408515996 . This is my story-fanfic about this post , all credits and rights going to @uzuluna (WARNING TAKE NAPKINS AND BUCKETS FOR TEARS AND HEARTS)
P.S. Soleana belong to me also the extra part , because do part of an my story , I have would added the extra for give more soft brother-relationship and a little spoiler..
Billy was so sad he has been disconsolate since his best friend... his brother Spencer at the age of 50 died of old age... so the media wanted to get through it but... BJC knew how things really went .Spencer had aged yes, but he kept fit, eating healthy, training body and mind and above all doing good works .. many times BJC has seen his brother go into hospitals to encourage children and others with his fame to not to give up their dreams, to share them, not to lose sight of the fact that there are more important things than the dreams themselves, he saw how he protected the kids from bullies..in short..he had become a wonderful adult..but now all this .. zero..*flashback *.
One day Billy, at Spencer's request, went over there to check if the technicians were doing a good job with lights and everything else. He suddenly noticed, however, two figures he had never seen come into one of the dressing rooms, he thought: "ok come on, they will be the usual interns who came late" but the curiosity was too much for him and he walked away following the two figures .. .the dressing room they entered was that of ... Spencer!
BJC: "ok ok calm Cobra, they will be two fan interns and they took the opportunity to see the inside of a dressing room of one of the most famous horror filmmakers that Hollywood has ever been able to see" Billy saw them stealthily escaping and saw only a blond tuft and another light brown color, he went in and saw everything as if no one had been there except ... for a strange glass next to Spencer's water bottle, Billy sniffed him but felt nothing strange but strangely had a bad impression, took the glass in fact, and threw it away.
SW: "Billy! What are you doing here !? Didn't I ask you to check if the technicians were doing a good job?" Spencer had returned from lunch with his mother, after all the fame on him, he could always find time for the others dear to him, including playing video games with Billy as he was when he was 14 and a half ..
BJC: "yes ... oh yes! Excuse me Bro-meo but suddenly I saw two people come in here and then I followed them, anyway it's quiet, the technicians are doing a good job"
SW: "Thank goodness, wait ... did you say two people? Who were they? Interns?"
BJC: "I don't know ... I thought about it but they left in a hurry and left a glass I had never seen before and then threw it, you'll thank me after * posing as a star *"
SW: * facepalm * "Billy tool-box I left that glass for medicine! Do you remember? medicine for the cold? But were you listening this morning? "
BJC: "probably ... I remember you mentioned something but I was too busy with the jar of PB"
SW: "as always ... uff ... feel today was a long and tiring day, could you please tell Shanila that after they finish closing everything? Let's continue tomorrow"
BJC: "Ok ... hey bro '... everything okay? You know I'm always there if you want to talk"
SW: "yes, I know ... it's just that ... I don't know, I have the clear feeling that not everyone appreciates what I do ... and today I had the confirmation ..."
BJC: "wait wait wait for what you mean !? Who doesn't appreciate what you do !? Make scary horror movies! Modestly thanks also to the man! To the legend! The Cobra!" Spencer could not laugh a bit at that exclamation. .ehh yes..your brother hadn't changed at all and that was fine with him he reassured, he was happy when his best friend in absolute was close to him to comfort him ... Spencer would not have gone by ANYWHERE without him ..
SW: "guess who I met at Wi-Fri?"
BJC: "Rajeev?"
SW: "maybe, but try again"
BJC: "Mallory?"
SW: "I doubt you leave your husband for me, try again"
BJC: "You won't tell me ... yet !? But he wasn't retired !?"
SW: "pension over bud', as far as I heard from Buch, Ponzi works there after his collapse at school and inside the boarding house..just saw me he told me about all the colors and hurt me sincerely .."
BJC: "that head of cheese expired! What did he tell you !?"
SW: "trust me and better ..."
BJC: "WHAT ?!"
SW: "that the world without me and mine movies , it would be a better place, which is my fault since I entered there in that school, that he is now like that, and that everything I do and what I will do will be useless and never remembered, that I will be alone forever ... "hearing those words Billy was shocked ... how could a person be so cruel, Billy is the first to keep the image of a "bad boy" he was a bit rude but never cruel, put him first, and he knew he was alone a cover, so much so that he apologized every time ... he knew that in the world most of the managers were slimy, cruel and profiteers, he had a couple of them close to his misfortune, but never so cruel, for what he remembers ..
BJC: "don't listen to it ... YOU UNDERSTAND IT !? DON'T LISTEN TO IT! FORGET WHAT IT SAID TO YOU! YOU'RE A WONDERFUL PERSON, MAKE GOOD TO ALL, IF YOU ARE FAMOUS DON'T LET YOU FAME THAT YOU CONSUME IT .. NOT LIKE ... MYSELF ARE YOU AN EXCEPTIONAL PERSON LIL 'BRO, AND DON'T ALLOW ANYONE SOMEONE TO TELL YOU THE OPPOSITE !? "
SW: "whoa! Calm friend! I understand but don't scream!"
BJC: "tell me you understand!"
SW: "I understand! I understand! Geez ... you're worse than my mother when she scolded us because the cookies were gone * laughs * remember?"
BJC: "* laughs in turn * pffft how could I not remember? That time in addition to the stomach ache we got a good scolding"
SW: "which theoretically I only caught it because you didn't see it" * they laugh together *
SW: "Billy..thank you..I appreciate it very much that you are close to me..I also really appreciate the fact that Shanila and Rajeev are with their work, thank you .. please go tell her?"
BJC: "ok!" Billy went to tell a Shanila from the change of plans, while Spencer, intrigued by the story of the two people, looked at the security cameras and noticed that the two figures looked a lot like .. Lolo and Ponzi! Spencer chilled but did he force himself and check if they had moved something, noticed that they had put something in the glass and in the bottle? The same glass that Billy threw away! Most likely they had put in some powerful laxative and Billy had saved him! Cabbage! Upon his return Spencer would surely have embraced him very much and thanked him over and over again. He took the bottle and checked it, he noticed nothing suspicious ... until ... he heard footsteps. I thought it was Shanila but it wasn't. Two people entered the cabin with force, blocking Spencer by the arms and holding him still. Fortunately, the training sessions with Jessica and Billy were useful because he immediately got free and threw a bottle over him.hitting the man, he grabbed his video camera and turned it on so he had some proof, fortunately it was well hidden.
SW: "why do you do this? Go away or call security!"
Both: "you have ruined the image since you came to that school! You a loser, become famous! You deserve to suffer!" Spencer tried to escape but the woman stopped the door, the man took it from behind and the woman took the bottle. Billy, who in the meantime had warned Shanila, felt that something was wrong and immediately flew to Spencer. He heard a loud noise and a strangled rattle .. it was Spencer! He was lying on the floor coughing, he was pale ..
BJC: "SPENCER! SPENCER! WHAT YOU HAVE FRIEND! REPLY! BROTHER REPLY FOR THE LOVE OF MUSIC!"
SW: * coughs * bo..bo..bottle..inside there was some cyanide..the video camera..there are the tests..Billy..I have cold..so...stay with me .. * coughs * "
BJC: "cyanide ...? What is it? Hey buddy stay awake! I'm here with you! SPENCER! * Shakes him * Spencer was becoming paler ..
SW: "it is a poison * coughs * very deadly..is almost immediate effect .." Spencer started crying knowing that now there was nothing more to do..he was dying ..
SW: * crying * "hey .. friend .. apparently I won't be able to finish this movie this time eh?"
BJC * starts to cry * "don't ... don't even say it as a joke..you..you.you have to finish it you are the only one who can..hold on now take off to call for help and you will heal..start well"
SW: "against cyanide if you do not act immediately there is no way to save me .. * puts his hand on the transparent cheek of Billy * we had..we had planned to stay together until the end and beyond it? * Cries * you would have done by uncle to my children if I married.. real brother? "
BJC: "Uncle Billy ... does not sound bad" * he is not theremakes her not cry loudly * "please .. don't go .. stay with me..it's my fault. .I had to stay here..who I stuck not to go..and only my fault .."
SW: "hey .. hey..shh shh it's not your fault, if I hadn't thrown the glass I'd be so long and I wouldn't have had time to tell you things .."
BJC: "don't talk ... save your breath, surely Shanila will have seen that we are not back and now she is coming to us"
SW: "there is nothing to do .. but I want to tell you the same .. thanks .."
BJC: "for what?"
SW: "to be my brother..my best friend, to be our relative and to be back after what happened to you..thanks for having me * he cries * .. for giving me a wonderful life full of joy, fun and adventures .. please go ahead .. "
BJC: "how do you go on ... what does it mean? Spencer! Hold on!"
SW: "you .. * the voice starts to get lighter * you ..i love ya brother..i'll come to take..yo-- "Spencer could not finish the two sentences that his body went out under the eyes of Billy.. his little brother..his best friend in absolute... gone...turn off. Billy cried so loudly that he caught Shanila's attention, that when he saw Spencer's body he screamed, cried, and asked what had happened. Billy, in pain, picked up the video camera to give it to Shanila who would give it to the police..but what would it do? * fine flashback *
Billy woke up from that painful memory, remembering how at the funeral there were all the people that Spencer had done them good ... after his funeral Billy was crying for 9 months on his grave .. day and night, his mother (Billy's mother) approached him at the end of the last day of the ninth month and told him ...
Soleana: "my son ... stop just torture yourself like this you are not at fault ... be at peace, so you can be with him ... "
BJC: "I don't deserve it .."
SC: "?"
BJC: "I didn't deserve to have a brother like that! I don't deserve joy or eternal happiness! He...he has always taken care of me ... giving me a chance to have a "normal" life. To be my best friend and now ... now they took it away from me and I didn't do anything to stop it! I don't deserve anything! I deserve to suffer ... I ... I want him to come back! That we come back like we used to spend time together school to defend us from Ponzi! May he stay alive in prison! .. I ... may stay that way forever ... and only my fault ... "
SC: "it is not true! You do not deserve all this! My beloved son you have to let go of this pain ... it is not easy and I know it..but let it help you..It will be much easier for all of us"
BJC: "I ... I don't deserve to be your son ... to have a family like that ... I destroyed it ... I destroyed everything ... as always"
SC: "it's not true! I couldn't have asked for a better son than you * hugs hard *! You..you .. you have no fault..but if you want to stay a little alone I understand you, just .. please remember that you I will visit every 2 days ok? "Billy nodded, took the camera and the pendant and went home.
From that moment on, Billy spent all his time keeping the house tidy, at least trying to comfort, even as a ghost, Spencer's parents and then one day they decided to leave for some time ... the paper said 3 months on vacation ... who could blame them? Leaving him alone for 3 months. His mother often came to visit him, to compliment his work ... but nothing moved him ... it was destroyed. His mother noticed that he was holding Ponzi's spare wig, the one they had both taken for a little revenge, but they would have returned it if it wasn't already he had another, and a bright feather ..
SC: "is that it?"
BJC: "I found it next to me when I was well ... I think it's some pigeon ..."
SC: "she's so bright and light. I doubt she's from some pigeon ... can I see her?" Billy nodded. The mother took the feather and inspected it better ... there was no doubt it was an angel's feather. He picked up the feather and felt pervaded by a warm force, that strength allowed him to see ... Spencer! He was trying to get close to him but his pain was so strong that it formed a barrier. Seen this, he put down the feather and said aloud ..
SC: "you did a great job, I advise you to go to REST and to DREAM a few things, maybe you could do things you couldn't do before!"
BJC: * strums the wrong rope * "ouch mum! I understand there is no need to scream! I go! ... night .."
SC: "night my love..I hope that in your dreams you will find a bit of serenity and awareness .."
BJC: "?"
SC: "nothing my love .. now rests" Ghosts generally do not normally dream like before but "dream" their memories of when they were alive .. and for sure Billy did not dream of good things for a while or at least yes but...they all turned into nightmares because of the pain. Soleana went into the kitchen and heard a sweet voice that said "thank you". Billy closed his eyes, clutching the feather so soft and the wig ... he began to dream. He dreamed of the moments he spent with Spencer, when he was small and when he was a teenager .. but those dreams were distorted with a thousand voices around him that always repeated to him: "it's your fault! You left him alone! You don't deserve anything! You deserve to suffer forever like a ghost and not to be with him in the light! You don't deserve it! You won't stay with him ... NEVER! YOU WILL BE BLOCKED FOREVER ! "Billy moved frantically, suffering in his own memories, blaming himself for something he had no blame for ... blocking him there ... until the feather in his hands lit up, opening a gash in Billy's nightmares and bringing him with himself in a brighter spot. "Billy looked around and noticed that his" colors "came back to him when he was alive. He felt strangely good but still aching ... and then he saw a figure on the horizon. very familiar and could not believe it .. that figure noticed it very quickly, smiled at him, held out his arms forward to say "run to hug me tool-box!", and it was wrapped in that same light .. it was .. Spencer! His little brother ... his best friend returned to being 14 again, he was there with open arms just for him. Billy was about to take off from him ... but he remembered that he didn't deserve it, and everything started to do new darkness but this time, Spencer ran to him holding him close, and the shadows disappeared. Billy burst into a loud cry ...
BJC: "little brother .. are you ... really you? I'm not dreaming?"
SW: "shhh yes big brother I am, in your dreams but I am really I * hugs him more and more strongly *"
BJC: "leave me please! I don't deserve anything .. it's just my fault .. it's my fault!"
SW: "tool box is not your fault for anything ... don't you remember? I told you no?"
BJC: "It's not true! It's just my fault. I have to stay close to you! I deserve to suffer!" Spencer heard them saying, he squeezed Billy more and stroked his back and told him it wasn't like that. Billy calmed down a little but still wept bitterly until he asked him in tears ..
BJC: "Why are you here? Why aren't you in Heaven? What is this place?"
SW: "I'm here for you, to come I asked the angels if it was possible for me to come and get you, they said yes, it would have taken a while, and I had to pass the barrier you created, but I could ... if I could. This is a sort of room where the light of your dearest dreams is not reached by the shadows, so they explained it to me "
BJC: "What do you mean to me? Are you an angel now.. little brother?"
SW: * hugs him even more * I told you, or at least I tried, that I would come and pick you up and wait for you and say that I'm not yet "
BJC: "I ... I ... I don't deserve it! I'm a bad person! I've hurt everyone! I deserve to suffer not being with you and being happy forever!" Spencer denied all the statements he had said and he explained that up there they knew what Billy really was like, they had seen his pain, which is why they immediately allowed him to go and get him and explained to him also why he had become a ghost ... not for eternal punishment, no ghost, unless he wants it, he remains on earth forever, sooner or later when they have learned their lesson and carried out the mission, they go beyond ... Billy had learned the first two lessons: to say to love another person besides himself; being able to learn to live normally and recognize their mistakes by trying to remedy them; being close to the people you love and ... letting go of the pain inflicted not on his own account but on other people. Billy hadn't even learned this last thing until Spencer said ...
SW: "I would never have gone without you..from anywhere paradisiacal and beautiful it could be..I missed you more than my life big brother..I now take you with me..in Heaven .. you won't be alone anymore .. we'll always be together and .. "
BJC: "will we still play like we used to?"
SW: "yes"
BJC: "and will we be inseparable as it used to be?"
SW: * laughs * "yes silly *
BJC: "and...and .."
SW: "yes, you can hug me as many times as you want, as long as you don't hold me too tight, * laughs *"
BJC: "aside * laughs with tears in the eyes *, will I be able to play my music? Will we also play like when we were little? Will I really be with you * crying *?" This time Spencer was crying
SW: "yes ... yes ... one hundred times yes and we will wait up there for the other people dear to us"
Having said these words, Billy got up and all the pain he had ... let him go, aware that they were right ... it wasn't his fault. Waking up, Billy stared at his mother, who came up to greet him, stroked him and said to him ...
SC: "you're ready .. let's go ... we'll see again" she kissed him on the warm forehead because now Billy was ready to go beyond ... but not alone ... he would never have gone alone in both cases in reverse... but with his brother. Spencer could finally appear, in addition to going into dreams, ahead of Billy and they both ran to hug hard. Billy and Spencer hugged their aunt / mother hard with the oath to see each other again when the time comes ... Billy and Spencer were enveloped in a warm light and lifted slightly into the air, slowly disappearing ... the two remained embraced by that light, laughing softly ...
SW: "Hey Billy you put me down * laughs *"
BJC: "no you forget it! * Laughs *" Billy had taken it and thrown it slightly like when they were little and started tickling his tummy and Spencer laughed .. he laughed so heartily that Billy laughed too and had no intention to stop ... they were happy..finally after so much pain suffered by the bullies, by crazy fans, by slimy principals..now they were finally together for eternity. They had kept the oath of a long time ago ... stay together forever in life and beyond. Spencer asked him if he wanted to bring things and see the rest of his family and friends and say hello to them before he left, Billy nodded. They took seeds from the flowers of the garden of their aunt / mother that were the most beautiful to plant them in Heaven, Billy's guitar and pendant, Spencer's photo album and video camera. They all greeted each other hugging them gently.
BJC: "Do you have any regrets?"
SW: 'just not having finished the film "
BJC: * laughs *
SW: "hey why are you laughing friend * rubs his head *?"
BJC "because your BFFE has finished the film"
SW: "whaaaaat !? How?"
BJC: "I directed, with the help of Shanila, the rest and .. violá!"
SW: "Billy you are the best! * He jumps on him hugging him and giving him the punch *"
BJC: "I know! * Bulb in the head *"
SW: "because you have that look..oh no ...no..do not allow yourself "
BJC: * tickles his belly *
SW: "no..pfft..hahahaha stop * laughs * as they ascended to Heaven, Billy started playing with Spencer as when they were little, tickling each other and a sort of" war "started. Spencer broke free and he began to do it himself, only he didn't stop easily ...
BJC: "ppfft..hahahaha Spencer! Stop! I suffer it! * bent in two and began to laugh like when Spencer made him laugh with that application that simulated the mouth of the zombie * "their laughs were so pure and so full of joy that children of they heard and said ..
Children: "Mom! Mom! The sky laughs!"
MB: "you know, it is said that when the sky laughs, it is because two pure souls who want an infinity of good, have gone up to Heaven "
B: "so this means that two souls are in Heaven?"
MB: "yes, but I think that for how the sky shines, they are two souls who have suffered in life and are now finally together .."
SC: "together again for eternity..so how was it supposed to be..you, after all, you swore it when you were little.two brothers, best friends, that even if distant relatives..you wanted an infinity of good .. sharing that good with everyone ... now only an eternity of joy and happiness awaits you ... my angels ". In Heaven, Spencer and Billy played with all the joy they had inside ... not ceasing to laugh, hug and fly together with each other, and with all the other angels, in the clouds ... in a place where no one would ever do them of the hurt, wounded or other ... where they would have waited for their family ... the two brothers had finally gone to Heaven together, remaining together again for eternity ... from then on,every time they played laughing, the sky released a shining powder on their loved ones, making them feel the same happiness they had given them and continue to give.
End...?
Extra :
BJC :" hey Spence' how end the story? "
SW : " ? "
BJC : " the story about the little angel and of the his little child friend..how end? "
SW : " tecnically never end..has a first ending for the main story part one "
BJC : " ook I don't know what mean , but for the moment?how end? I'm curious *puppy eyes *
SW : " never change BJC eh ?*giggle *"
BJC : " nope never *leans on Spencer's right shoulder with half-closed eyes ready to listen to the story* "
SW : " do you remember where we can stop? "
BJC : " at the sad part "
SW : " well..the story end that..." under their cherry tree in Heaven, which shook the flowering branches in the wind, Spencer told the end of the story he was telling Billy when they were on Earth, but in reality that story really has no end .. because even though they are now up there, the adventures and stories with them will not cease to exist and be created, starting from there too with them there will still be many adventures, who knows ... maybe even back on Earth ... no? everything is possible with two brothers-best friends like them...
The stories never end...

Small Presence ─ Momotarou Onzai SR
On the way to their youkai shooting, MooNs members talk about Momotarou’s character and later about how common gifted people were in the past. It is known that Momotarou has also some sort of sixth sense and, when they reach the shooting location, he mentions sensing something. What it seems to be a presence at first, turns out to be...!?
Tsubasa: Anyway, the ad shoot in which you’re playing as youkais is interesting, right?
Hikaru: I know, right, I know~! This kind of job is a first for me, but I’m soo excited! Right, Leader!?
Kazuna: Fufu, that’s right. We’ll be able to challenge ourselves with different poses so it’s well thought and worth doing, I can’t wait.
Tatsuhiro: They also paid particular attention to the minutest details of the costumes, I wonder where they looked at for reference.
Mikado: Yeah, these are costumes that reflect the spirit of those who made them. And because I sense such feelings, I want to make this shoot successful.
Tsubasa: Yes. During the shooting so far, everyone looked very good and cool. Tsubasa: However, I still don’t have a clear picture of Momo-kun’s Nue for the next shoot...
Mikado: Ahh, the Nue, right. It certainly isn’t a major youkai, and the documents don’t go into details. Mikado: Because it cries at night in a creepy voice, and it’s written with the kanji of night and bird*, they say it’s the Nue, but... in reality, its true nature is unknown.
Hikaru: Ehh! Really?
Mikado: In literature, it is drawn as a mixture of various animals, but its appearance is different depending on the situation.
Tsubasa: It looks like a mysterious youkai.
Hikaru: Then, it’s perfect for Pi-chan!
Momotarou: Is that so?
Kazuna: You have a good point, sometimes I think that Momo senses different things than us.
Mikado: Perceiving the subtleties of a person is one of Momotasu’s traits that fascinates, after all.
Kazuna: Yeah. I feel like I am often helped by the sharpness of Momo’s intuition.
Momotarou: I see... I don’t get it myself, but if it helps you, I’m happy.
Mikado: If it’s Momotasu, perhaps he can see things.
Hikaru: Eh? “Seeing”, what are you-?
Mikado: Down the age of the Imperial Capital*, there were many with that gift.
Hikaru: Wai- by “that gift“ you mean...
Mikado: But of course, I’m talking about seeing non-humans.
Tatsuhiro: Yeah, if it’s Onzai we’re talking about then it might be possible.
Hikaru: You two stop it! You’re scaring Tsubasa-chan too!
Tatsuhiro: Really now? You’re the only one scared here at the moment.
Momotarou: ....
Tsubasa: Momo-kun?
Momotarou: I don’t know about non-humans, but I sense eyes looking at me everywhere.
Tsubasa: EH!?
Hikaru: Pi-chan! Y- You’re kidding, right~!?
Mmotarou: ....
*Nue( 鵺 )’s kanji is composed of night (夜) and bird ( 鳥 ), thus the story about it appearing at night and its cries. *Mikado actually says Kyoto instead of Imperial Capital, but since the story is about folklore and ancient myths, I wanted to adapt it a bit more.
___________
Tsubasa: Let’s see, with this Momo-kun’s shooting is done, next up is Masunaga-san...
Tsubasa: Ah, Momo-kun. Good work. Did the shoot proceed with no problems?
Momotarou: Ah, yes- Momotarou: That’s what I want to say, but there’s something bothering me.
Kazuna: Bothering you?
Momotarou: It’s about the presence we were talking about on the bus... ever since the shoot started, I feel like it’s getting stronger.
Tatsuhiro: Oi, oi, getting stronger, you say...
Kazuna: Momo, are you for real? Isn’t it just your imagination?
Tatsuhiro: If you felt it so clear since then, then, for example... couldn’t it be the locals who came to watch?
Tsubasa: No, for today’s shooting they're not allowed to enter.
Mikado: Huh, huh, don’t tell me it’s a real presence?
Hikaru: Wai- wai- wai- seriously, stop it~!
Momotarou: ... There.
Tsubasa: Eh!? Momo-kun, where!?
Momotarou: ... Found you.
Tatsuhiro: Onzai, that’s...
Momotarou: Yeah. Apparently, the identity of the gazing presence seems to be this guy.
Cat: Meow.
Tsubasa: A c-cat...
Tatsuhiro: ... What, it’s just a cat.
Hikaru: Hah! Tatsu, you’re relievedー! So you freaked out a little too!
Tatsuhiro: It's not like that!
Cat: Meow.
Momotarou: Looks like it’s accustomed to being near a lot of people.
Hikaru: Cute~! Let me hold you too for a bit. There, there...
Cat: (Purrs)
Mikado: What a nice picture~ Since we’re here, why don’t we take a picture?
Hikaru: Nice, Mikachi! Take it, take it~!
Mikado: Kitty, you too, look here.
Cat: Meow.
Hikaru: Waah! It turned toward the camera!
Tatsuhiro: It kind of looks like it understand human language.
Kazuna: What a smart one.
Momotarou: Yeah.
___________
Staff: Everyone, sorry for the waitー! We’re done here, so we’ll move to the next location soonー.
Tsubasa: Yes! We’re coming!
Hikaru: ... I mean! Sorry, but we have got to go, kitty!
Mikado: That's a shame. Considering we’ve been getting along so well.
Cat: Meow...
Momotarou: Don’t make such a sad face.
Hikaru: That’s right! I'll give you a snack as a farewell gift. Which one is better?
Momotarou: Hikaru, I understand how you feel, but you can’t let a cat eat sweets.
Hikaru: Eh, it’s no good?
Momotarou: Yeah, the stuff you have are no good for a cat. Momotarou: Long ago, when my little brother picked up a cat, I looked into the internet.
Tatsuhiro: If that’s the case, it’s better not to give them to it.
Hikaru: Gotcha! Then, until next time, kitty!
Cat: Meo~w.
Mikado: ... It’s gone.
Momotarou: Looks like it really understood human language.
Kazuna: ... Well then, I understand you’re sad to leave it, but the staff is also waiting, so we better move.
...
Hikaru: Hey, hey! Don’t you think this picture turned out quite nice? I’ll send it to the group on JOIN!
Mikado: What! If that’s the case, then I think this picture too turned out quite good!
Tsubasa: Fufu, ever since before, everyone has been talking about the cat...
Kazuna: Anyway, I wonder why that cat followed Momo.
Tatsuhiro: You’re right. That’s been bothering me.
Mikado: Hmm, in this case... This is merely an assumption, but isn’t it because Momotasu was wearing the costume of the Nue?
Hikaru: And... what does that mean?
Momotarou: The Nue is an unknown youkai, but according to one theory, it is said that it has the head of a cat. Therefore, it might have seemed they were both of the same kind.
Hikaru: Like, fellows or something!?
Tatsuhiro: Oi, are you for real!
Mikado: Well, doesn’t it seem more interesting this way?
Hikaru: ... Ah! Hikaru: If that’s the case, I should have taken another picture with Pi-chan dressed like the Nue!
Mikado: You have a point! How regrettable!
Kazuna: Fufu. Maybe while staying in Kyoto, it might come to see Momo again.
Momotarou: Right... Tsubasa, let me go shopping later on the way back.
Tsubasa: What are you buying?
Momotarou: Sweets for cats. I want to prepare for when we meet again.
Tsubasa: Fufu, understood. Once the shooting has finished, let’s go shopping!

Mr. Crowley
Part 8 of Long Gone
Pairings:Winchesters X Sister!Reader, Crowley, Juliette, Earl, Sam and Dean, Dan ,mentions of little demon girl Word Count: 2893
At the bunker-
Crowley slowly turns around with Y/N’s letter folded up in his hand. Just as he was about to speak Sam beat him to the punch. Not wanting to get on the boys bad side yet again he decided to let them tell him what they want to know, but knowing then it’s most likely about Y/N and if there is anything that he may know.
“So Crowley we caught a few demons looking for Y/N, yet we have little knowledge of why you’re doing so.” Sam was quick to the punch.
“Why Samantha no foreplay today?” Crowley teased as he quickly put the letter in hand away.
Sam was quick to catch that and would try and get the letter from him or even just ask about it he wanted to do so without his brother’s acknowledgement. Dean on the other hand was pulling up a chair to sit Crowley down.
“Quite the shit Crowley, what do you know about where our sister is?” Dean snarled at the king, looks like he hasn’t slept in weeks. He went behind Crowley and harshly pushed him into the chair.
Looking up at Dean “I’ve had all my demons scouring the states looking for any clues and the only thing they’ve found is that a blonde and a black haired girl have been seen hunting” As much as he wanted to see Y/N. he also wanted to get the boys away from going anywhere near her location in California.
“Hunting where?” Sam asked getting closer to Crowley he went around and attempted to grab the paper but was found with an empty pocket.
Having forgotten that Crowley could have sent it someplace else he walked back to his brother’s side. Either not seeming to care or actually seeing what he had done, Dean pulled up a chair right in front of Crowley.
“So why exactly are you having your demons search for our baby sister” he made a point to emphasize on the our as if Y/N were an object rather than a person.
That irked Crowley and Sam saw his eye twitched, smirking “Last time I remember Y/N didn’t want to hear from you because you had blown her cover on a hunt, isn’t that right Dean?”
Dean looked over confused and Crowley could tell that they were having one of those silent conversations. “Oh yeah! What had she said to you while I stitched her up?”
Pulling out his best impression of Y/N “I swear if I see that asshole around the bunker again I’ll put a bullet through his leg” Dean patted his thigh where they believed he would get shot.
Crowley realized they were riling him up to see if he would spill any information that he might be holding back.
“If you believe that I may be holding back something that you need to know, well your both wrong” he shrugged his shoulders.
“Oh yeah? Then what was that slip of paper that you put in your pocket when we summoned you?” Sam asked him.
They were getting nowhere and Sam really wanted to know what was written on it.
“What are you talking about, what paper.” he turn to look up
“There was a slip of paper on his hand when he turned around” Sam explained
Not wanting to believe that there could be something that could help find his little sister he walked up to Crowley and stuck his hand in the coat that he had been wearing. Feeling something in the pocket he found the slip of paper and proceeded to remove it from the pocket. Dean walked back to stand next to his brother and they both began to read what was written little did they know that Crowley had switched the note with something else he had been given that same day.
My lord,
We have been given news that the two hunters that we had heard of were none other than some woman named Claire Novak and Patience Turner. They are associated with the Winchesters as well as the other hunters from Sioux Falls.
Some of the other demons have been begun to wonder as to why you have become invested in looking for the youngest Winchester many have already begun to revolt and want to assign someone new as King of Hell. Those who still plead loyalty to you are working hard to make sure that those against will be punished for even thinking of such thing.
We’ve will continue to look for Miss Y/N as you requested we will have Juliet be readied to venture through the state in search of her scent, until she is found she will frequently give us notice of where she is.
From your loyal assistant,
Alistaire.
Seeing that there was no real useful information in the letter they gave it back to him.
“Now if you would break the trap I could go about my business I am very busy at the moment”
“Alright but if you hear anything about Y/N you tell us” Dean grumbled as he broke the trap.
“Relax squirrel, don’t get your knickers in a twist.”
Just as Sam was going to say something Crowley smirked at them and at the snap of his fingers he was gone.
Y/N’s POV-
It’s been two days since Juliette had left and I had gotten the fire message from Crowley once he read and agreed to my terms. To think that the man sent me instructions on how to be able to send them back was surprising but not too much seeing as he’s a bit old fashioned for certain things. It make me wonder if there’s a different side to him that he lets few people see, having agreed to the terms is another thing, he usually wants things done his way.
Curiously grab a slip of paper and do as the directions follow:
Have message written on small paper
On the back of the message write the name for whom this will be sent to
Toss paper in the air and chant; quod in animo meo, audire cantus et mitte me est verba quae digesta sunt
Not sure if it would work I wrote “what are you wearing?” as a joke, repeated the chant and the saw the paper erupt in flames it took a moment and wondered it he would respond right away. Seeing as nothing had been sent back I assumed Crowley was busy attending his duties as king. I cleared the mess i had left on my station from making a new board and went to my room getting ready for the night. There was a small breeze in the air that felt great, I had a feeling I would be sleeping in the next day.
Come morning I had been woken up by the smell of something slightly burned, seeing as there was a note waiting for me by my phone I grabbed it and to my surprise Crowley had responded and he was cheeky about it too. It simply said “wouldn’t you like to know” and a smirking little demon after it. I quickly get to my study and reach for a slip of paper to respond
“Well that’s one way to start my morning” and a little wink I did the same as the night before and was actually a little excited to see how he would reply. Just as quick as I sent it he had replied “that’s not the only way I can start your morning” and with it a red peony flower.
“Thank you for the flower, I look forward to seeing you this Friday” I sent and began to wonder about how our meet up will go.
“You’re very welcome my little dove, I look forward to Friday until then”
This was definitely a great morning now to get ready for work.
I haven’t stopped thinking about Crowley not in the sense of he’s coming to see me but more of what will he say once he has arrived. Him coming to the house and wanting to talk to me, I don’t really get why he wants to do such a thing, we didn’t end things on good terms. I told my brothers that I would put a bullet in his leg if I ever saw him again but I feel like that it was just the anger of the moment, idiot got in my way just as I was about to gank the son of a bitch that had been grabbing the children. I still ganked the sucker but in the process I got bit and left a pretty gnarly scar to prove it, wouldn’t be a job well done if you don’t get hurt doing it. Or at least I’d like to think that way as we always end up injured after each hunt.
Just as I was about to take my break I went to find Earl in the office seeing as he wasn’t that busy.
“Hey Earl I'm about to go take my break I was wondering if there was anyway that I could get this weekend off? An old family friend will be here and was hoping to help him get settled in at my place and show him around?” I fingers were shaking a bit but I had no idea why.’
“I don’t see why not, the missus was talking about going to the lake house this weekend so I’m closing up the store Friday evening.” He pointed at the reminder she had left for him.
Looking over at the calendar I nod my head, “thanks so much! I’ll stop by Friday before you guys leave to introduce you to him, seeing Friday is my day off anyways.”
“Yeah that would be great, I let Shirley know that her and I will be working the store that day.”
“Alright you want anything, I’m heading down to get some burgers”
Pulling out his wallet he gave me a few bills “Here, can you get me one of those strawberry lemonade slushies they make?”
“Sure thing! Be back in a few”
Heading down to get something to eat I pulled out the old cell I always keep on me if I ever need to contact my brothers I’ve taken out the sim card so they can’t track me when the phone is on but I can still look at the pictures.
I put the sim card back in and send him a quick text it might be the same phone but it is a different number, I hope he doesn’t try to send multiple texts because I most certainly won’t see them until I put the card back in.
With that I quickly turned my phone off and took the sim card out again can’t chance that he could have quickly tracked my phone.
Getting my burger and Earl’s slushie I quickly walked back to work not wanting to take too long. Just as I made my way there I was stopped by a little girl she looked so sweet in her little pink corduroy dress.
“Excuse me but I have a message for you”
I look around but there seems to be no one else with her. “You said you have a message for me?”
“Yes, Mr. Crowley had me personally to come give you this message” she gives me a slip of paper.
“Thank you, darling. Would you like to come with me and get something?” I offer her my free hand after I put the letter in my pocket.
“If it’s not too much trouble? I was told to wait until someone comes to get me.” She took my hand and we headed back to the store.
I helped her onto the counter so that we could speak.
“I’ll be right back just gotta give this to my boss” I raise up the drink.
“Okay” she sounded so innocent even if she is a demon.
“Here you go Earl” I hand him the drink and his change.
“Thanks Y/N enjoy your food.”
I walked back to the front counter and see that she’s playing with her hair.
“Are you hungry?” I ask her then realizing that she probably doesn’t even eat.
“Not really but thank you for asking” she kicks her little feet up.
After I finished eating and cleaning up I heard the bell ring signaling that someone had entered the store. Looking over I could see the little girl got excited seeing it was an older looking kid about 17 or 18 she turned to me and waved goodbye. I helped her down from the counter and she ran into his arms. They both left, making me wonder if they were the only two who were that young looking down in hell. What had they done to get there?
Dan’s POV-
She does some research about what her nightmares mean and how she can find a way to clear her conscience. She overhears Sam and Dean talking about summoning Crowley but she knew very little of him all she knew was he was king of hell.
These last few nights have been the worst, I’ve woken up drenched in sweat. All I can seem to dream about is Y/N getting killed in different scenarios during a hunt and how worried the boys have been, not to say that I’m not worried either it’s just that I don’t have the same connection with her as they do.
“God I don’t know how much more I’ll be able to take of these dreams.” I huffed while getting up to get some books from the library.
Knowing what I know of this world and what the three of them have lived I know that there has to be something behind why I keep seeing these things or if there is a meaning to all that’s been going on with myself and if there’s any way that I would make things right.
Made my way to the library hoping to get some stuff done on my own without them asking me what I’m doing, just as I turn the corner I over hear them talking about the king of hell, Crowley’s the name if I’m correct, he sounds menacing but I’ve yet to meet him. Not wanting to just yet I got away pretty quickly and without them noticing I was passing by.
Unsure of what I should be looking for exactly I went to the little system Sam had made to find what books might help, there were a few on dreams and how djinns feed off what a person most desires but I doubt that falls under what been going on with me.
“Now where would I look for dream interpretations?” I say as I search through the little cards. I found a section about meanings behind the things that one might see in their dreams finding nothing in any of the books I had found I had decided to leave it for now until I could find someone to help me. The boys had disappeared to some room in the bunker for quite some time now and I had no idea where exactly they could have gone.
“I might as well get started on dinner since Dean hasn’t come up to make anything” I walked to the kitchen looking to see what I could make for the three of us. A little while later everything had been pulled out for something simple. I had also found what might be a recipe for a pecan pie, I might make one for Dean seeing as how much he loved pie.
Time had passed by and I heard the boys had come out from where they were hiding. Once they get the scent of dinner they both will end up at the table watching me cook what I didn’t expect was to hear Deans boots pounding the floor as he showed up in the kitchen. I turned around in time to see his eyes light up then the light fade away
“Y/N! Your back?!” he had said, I wasn’t sure what could have made him believe she had returned. I saw Sam walk in after Dean looking hopeful seeing it was just me he stayed
“No just me in here, what made you think it was Y/N?”
“The.. the pecan pie smell it’s the recipe she uses for when she was in a baking mood, I thought she had come back and was making some” he sagged a little knowing it hadn’t been his little sister in here baking his favorite dessert. “Where… where did you get the recipe?”
“I found it in this little box with other recipes” I pointed at the little tin box.
“That was our mother’s recipe box, Y/N had asked her if she could have it because she had loved the idea that she’d get to bake my favorite food” his voice sounded rough.
“I didn’t mean to get your hopes up”
“No it’s not your fault Dan we should have known you’d end up finding the box” Sam said coming closer to stand next to his brother for support.
“well dinner is almost ready if you guys want to go wash up and meet back here” was all I could muster out seeing how much I had affected them.

Telling Seokjin you’re pregnant
Kim Seokjin Drabble
“Oppa,” I said. I was sitting in front of my husband who was about to film a new episode of ‘Eat Jin’. A giant box of fried chicken sat in front of him. “Hm,” he hums, looking at the camera and fixing his hair. “Okay, let’s start,” he says, looking up in front of the camera and smiling, whilst holding the box of chicken. “Wait I have to tell you something.” “뭐 (meo/what),” he says impatiently. “What do-” “자기 (jagi/darling), can you just ask me during the V Live? I’m hungry.” I sigh, “alright, alright.” I scratch my head as I click record. “Is it on?” I nod. Jin smiles and waves both hands,”안녕!(annyeong/hi) Today I have my lovely wife here with me. She’s behind the camera so you can’t see her, but she’s there, I promise.”
I smile behind the camera, still worried about what I have to say. Jin opens the box of fried chicken, “waaaaaaaa,” he shows the camera, and widens his eyes. He takes one out of the box and takes a bite, “mmmm, ohh yeah! You want some?” He holds the chicken out in front of me as I scrunch my nose and shake my head. “No, I’m okay.” He drops his hand, “huh, 왜 (wae/why), this is your favorite.” “There’s already over 2,000 viewers, are you sure you still want me to ask you the question now?” Jin shoves more chicken in his mouth.
“Oh yeah, maybe later, we should answer some fan questions– is anyone asking anything?” Jin looks at the screen, “ahh… how are you and (Y/n)?” Jin tilts his head and smiles at me, “ I think we’re doing pretty well.” He looks back at the comments and laugh. He reads one out loud, “when are you guys having an eight member? Maybe a little Jin.” Jin looks up to the ceiling, “ahh.. Mm..” he turns to the camera, “maybe soon?” His eyes shifts towards me and he sends me a wink, he laughs.
“Actually,” I say, “I think this is a good time to tell you.” I look around, looking for something to prop up the camera. “Here we go,” I say, as I put the camera down and sit next to Jin. “뭐 하고 있어 (mwo hago isseo/What are you doing?)” “I need to tell you something,” I look towards the camera, “according to my doctor, the eight member of BTS is arriving February 2018.” Jin turns to me wide eyes, “진짜?! (jinjja/really)”

BOOK OF JOB - From The Douay-Rheims Bible - Latin Vulgate
Chapter 31
The Book of Job shows how human affairs are ruled by Divine Providence using probable arguments.
"Although you hide these things in your heart, I know that you still remember everything." - (Job speaking to God)
***
INTRODUCTION. This Book takes its name from the holy man, of whom it treats; who, according to the more probable opinion, was of the race of Esau, and the same as Jobab, king of Edom, mentioned Gen. xxxvi. 33. It is uncertain who was the writer of it. Some attribute it to Job himself; others to Moses, or some one of the prophets. In the Hebrew it is written in verse, from the beginning of the third chapter to the forty-second chapter. Ch. --- The beginning and conclusion are historical, and in prose. Some have divided this work into a kind of tragedy, the first act extending to C. xv., the second to C. xxii., the third to C. xxxviii., where God appears, and the plot is unfolded. They suppose that the sentiments of the speakers are expressed, though not their own words. This may be very probable: but the opinion of those who look upon the work as a mere allegory, must be rejected with horror. The sacred writers speak of Job as of a personage who had really existed, (C.) and set the most noble pattern of virtue, and particularly of patience. Tob. ii. 12. Ezec. xiv. 14. Jam. v. 11. Philo and Josephus pass over this history, as they do those of Tobias, Judith, &c. H. --- The time when Job lived is not clearly ascertained. Some have supposed (C.) that he was a contemporary with Esther; (D. Thalmud) on which supposition, the work is here placed in its chronological order. But Job more probably live during the period when the Hebrews groaned under the Egyptian bondage, (H.) or sojourned in the wilderness. Num. xiv. 9. The Syrians place the book at the head of the Scriptures. C. --- Its situation has often varied, and is of no great importance. The subject which is here treated, is of far more; as it is intended to shew that the wicked sometimes prosper, while the good are afflicted. H. --- This had seldom been witnessed before the days of Abraham: but as God had now selected his family to be witnesses and guardians of religion, a new order of things was beginning to appear. This greatly perplexed Job himself; who, therefore, confesses that he had not sufficiently understood the ways of God, till he had deigned to explain them in the parable of the two great beasts. C. xlii. 3. We cannot condemn the sentiments expressed by Job, since God has declared that they were right, (ib. v. 8) and reprimands Elihu, (C. xxxviii. 2.) and the other three friends of Job, for maintaining a false opinion, though, from the history of past times, they had judge it to be true. This remark may excupate them from the stain of wilful lying, and vain declamation. Houbigant. --- However, as they assert what was false, their words of themselves are of no authority; and they are even considered as the forerunners of heretics. S. Greg. S. Aug. &c. T. --- Job refutes them by sound logic. S. Jerom. --- We may discover in this book the sum of Christian morality, (W.) for which purpose it has been chiefly explained by S. Gregory. The style is very poetical, (H.) though at the same time simple, like that of Moses. D. --- It is interspersed with many Arabic and Chaldaic idioms; (S. Jer.) whence some have concluded, that it was written originally by Job and his friends (H.) in Arabic, and translated into Heb. by Moses, for the consolation of his brethren. W. --- The Heb. text is in many places incorrect; (Houbig.) and the Sept. seem to have omitted several verses. Orig. --- S. Jerom says almost eight hundred, (C.) each consisting of about six words. H. --- Shultens, in 1747, expressed his dissatisfaction with the labours of all preceding commentators. To explain this book may not therefore be an easy task: but we must be as short as possible. H. --- Those who desire farther information, may consult Pineda, (W.) whose voluminous work, in two folios, will nearly (H.) give all necessary information. C.

Chapter 31
Job, to defend himself from the unjust judgments of his friends, gives a sincere account of his own virtues.
[1] I made a covenant with my eyes, that I would not so much as think upon a virgin. Pepigi foedus cum oculis meis, ut ne cogitarem quidem de virgine.
[2] For what part should God from above have in me, and what inheritance the Almighty from on high? Quam enim partem haberet in me Deus desuper, et haereditatem Omnipotens de excelsis?
[3] Is not destruction to the wicked, and aversion to them that work iniquity? Numquid non perditio est iniquo, et alienatio operantibus injustitiam?
[4] Doth not he consider my ways, and number all my steps? Nonne ipse considerat vias meas, et cunctos gressus meos dinumerat?
[5] If I have walked in vanity, and my foot hath made haste to deceit: Si ambulavi in vanitate, et festinavit in dolo pes meus,
[6] Let him weigh me in a just balance, and let God know my simplicity. appendat me in statera justa, et sciat Deus simplicitatem meam.
[7] If my step hath turned out of the way, and if my heart hath followed my eyes, and if a spot hath cleaved to my hands: Si declinavit gressus meus de via, et si secutum est oculos meos cor meum, et si manibus meis adhaesit macula,
[8] Then let me sow and let another eat: and let my offspring be rooted out. seram, et alium comedat, et progenies mea eradicetur.
[9] If my heart hath been deceived upon a woman, and if I have laid wait at my friend's door: Si deceptum est cor meum super muliere, et si ad ostium amici mei insidiatus sum,
[10] Let my wife be the harlot of another, and let other men lie with her. scortum alterius sit uxor mea, et super illam incurventur alii.
[11] For this is a heinous crime, and a most grievous iniquity. Hoc enim nefas est, et iniquitas maxima.
[12] It is a fire that devoureth even to destruction, and rooteth up all things that spring. Ignis est usque ad perditionem devorans, et omnia eradicans genimina.
[13] If I have despised to abide judgment with my manservant, or my maidservant, when they had any controversy against me: Si contempsi subire judicium cum servo meo et ancilla mea, cum disceptarent adversum me:
[14] For what shall I do when God shall rise to judge? and when he shall examine, what shall I answer him? quid enim faciam cum surrexerit ad judicandum Deus? et cum quaesierit, quid respondebo illi?
[15] Did not he that made me in the womb make him also: and did not one and the same form me in the womb? Numquid non in utero fecit me, qui et illum operatus est? et formavit me in vulva unus?
[16] If I have denied to the poor what they desired, and have made the eyes of the widow wait: Si negavi quod volebant pauperibus, et oculos viduae expectare feci :
[17] If I have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof: si comedi buccellam meam solus, et non comedit pupillus ex ea
[18] (For from my infancy mercy grew up with me: and it came out with me from my mother's womb:) ( quia ab infantia mea crevit mecum miseratio, et de utero matris meae egressa est mecum) :
[19] If I have despised him that was perishing for want of clothing, and the poor man that had no covering: si despexi pereuntem, eo quod non habuerit indumentum, et absque operimento pauperem :
[20] If his sides have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep: si non benedixerunt mihi latera ejus, et de velleribus ovium mearum calefactus est :
[21] If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, even when I saw myself superior in the gate: si levavi super pupillum manum meam, etiam cum viderem me in porta superiorem,
[22] Let my shoulder fall from its joint, and let my arm with its bones be broken. humerus meus a junctura sua cadat, et brachium meum cum suis ossibus confringatur.
[23] For I have always feared God as waves swelling over me, and his weight I was not able to bear. Semper enim quasi tumentes super me fluctus timui Deum, et pondus ejus ferre non potui.
[24] If I have thought gold my strength, and have said to fine gold: My confidence: Si putavi aurum robur meum, et obrizo dixi : Fiducia mea :
[25] If I have rejoiced over my great riches, and because my hand had gotten much. si laetatus sum super multis divitiis meis, et quia plurima reperit manus mea :
[26] If I beheld the sun when it shined, and the moon going in brightness: si vidi solem cum fulgeret, et lunam incedentem clare,
[27] And my heart in secret hath rejoiced, and I have kissed my hand with my mouth: et laetatum est in abscondito cor meum, et osculatus sum manum meam ore meo :
[28] Which is a very great iniquity, and a denial against the most high God. quae est iniquitas maxima, et negatio contra Deum altissimum.
[29] If I have been glad at the downfall of him that hated me, and have rejoiced that evil had found him. Si gavisus sum ad ruinam ejus qui me oderat, et exsultavi quod invenisset eum malum :
[30] For I have not given my mouth to sin, by wishing a curse to his soul. non enim dedi ad peccandum guttur meum, ut expeterem maledicens animam ejus.
[31] If the men of my tabernacle have not said: Who will give us of his flesh that we may be filled? Si non dixerunt viri tabernaculi mei : Quis det de carnibus ejus, ut saturemur?
[32] The stranger did not stay without, my door was open to the traveller. Foris non mansit peregrinus : ostium meum viatori patuit.
[33] If as a man I have hid my sin, and have concealed my iniquity in my bosom. Si abscondi quasi homo peccatum meum, et celavi in sinu meo iniquitatem meam :
[34] If I have been afraid at a very great multitude, and the contempt of kinsmen hath terrified me: and I have not rather held my peace, and not gone out of the door. si expavi ad multitudinem nimiam, et despectio propinquorum terruit me : et non magis tacui, nec egressus sum ostium.
[35] Who would grant me a hearer, that the Almighty may hear my desire; and that he himself that judgeth would write a book, Quis mihi tribuat auditorem, ut desiderium meum audiat Omnipotens, et librum scribat ipse qui judicat,
[36] That I may carry it on my shoulder, and put it about me as a crown? ut in humero meo portem illum, et circumdem illum quasi coronam mihi?
[37] At every step of mine I would pronounce it, and offer it as to a prince. Per singulos gradus meos pronuntiabo illum, et quasi principi offeram eum.
[38] If my land cry against me, and with it the furrows thereof mourn: Si adversum me terra mea clamat, et cum ipsa sulci ejus deflent :
[39] If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, and have afflicted the soul of the tillers thereof: si fructus ejus comedi absque pecunia, et animam agricolarum ejus afflixi :
[40] Let thistles grow up to me instead of wheat, and thorns instead of barley. pro frumento oriatur mihi tribulus, et pro hordeo spina. Finita sunt verba Job.
Commentary:
Ver. 1. I made. Job is compelled to proclaim his own praises, for his vindication, as S. Paul was, being at the same time convinced that he had only done his duty. Luk. xvii. 10. This is the third part of his discourse. Having given a picture of his prosperous and of his miserable condition, he observes that the latter was not inflicted in consequence of any misconduct, since he had always been attentive to avoid (C.) the most remote danger of offending God, or his neighbour. H. --- That I. Heb. "for why should I think upon a virgin?" H. --- Why should I expose myself, (C.) by indiscreet looks, (H.) since the passage from the eye to the heart is so easy. Eccles. ii. 10. M. --- In the warfare between the flesh and the spirit, Job deemed this precaution necessary, (W.) and was thus preserved from carnal thoughts. S. Greg. xx. 2.
Ver. 2. High, if I should give way to such unchaste thoughts. M.
Ver. 3. Aversion of God. Hebrew "strange punishment." Prot. Incontinence is a source of much mischief, and of the most dreadful punishments, as the deluge and fate of Sodom evince. H.
Ver. 5. Vanity, or hypocrisy, (C.) so as to overreach others. M.
Ver. 6. Simplicity, and "uprightness." Tummathi. H.
Ver. 7. Eyes. Sixtus V. read, "If my eye hath followed my heart." C. --- Job kept the utmost restraint both upon his eyes and heart, that no evil impressions from exterior objects might cause his ruin. Num. xv. 39. H. --- Hands, from presents, (C.) or injustice, particularly that of impurity. H.
Ver. 9. Door, to seduce his wife. C. M.
Ver. 10. Let. Heb. "Let my wife grind for another, and let others bend over her," urging her to work like the meanest slave. C. --- Sept. "Let my wife please (Grabe substitutes l of r, and reads alesai, grind for) another, and my little children be brought low." H. --- Yet the sense of the Vulg. is most followed. Eccli. xlvii. 21. Lam. v. 13. Ausonius (epig. 5) says, molitur per utramque cavernam. C.
Ver. 11. This adultery, to which I might have given way, and that of others with my wife, (H.) which would have been a requital, of which I could not indeed have complained, (M.) but which is nevertheless a most heinous offence. H. --- Iniquity. Heb. "a crime of judgment," or capital. Gen. xxxviii. 24. C. --- The canons of the Church (H.) have ranked adultery with murder and idolatry, which shews the horror in which it is held. C.
Ver. 12. Spring; the children. Eccli. xxiii. 35. Wisd. iv. 3. C. --- Prot. "all mine increase." H. --- Adulteresses were formerly consigned to the flames. The injured husband would resent the offence, and even dislike her former children. Love is also like a fire, and those who entertain it, may soon consume all their substance (M.) in feasting and presents. Above all, the fire of God's indignation in hell will still pursue the libidinous.
Ver. 13. Me, in private; as slaves had no redress in the common courts of judicature. We cannot but admire Job's humility, and noble sentiments of God, (C.) whose majesty will eclipse all human grandeur, and place the master and the servant on the same level. S. Greg. S. Aug. de Civ. Dei. x. 25. Eph. vi. 9. Col. iv. 1.
Ver. 16. Wait, and not give sentence in due time, (H.) but frustrated her expectation. M.

H. --- The ancient patriarchs delighted much in the exercise of hospitality; and Tobias (iv. 17.) exhorts his son to invite the poor. Cœna, or "supper," received its name from many eating "together," while people dined alone. Plut. Sym. viii. prob. 6.
Ver. 18. Womb. I was of a compassionate disposition, with which I always corresponded. S. Greg. --- Heb. "from my youth, pity (ceab, which Prot. translate "as with a father." H.) grew up with me; and from my birth I have preserved it!" C. --- Prot. "From my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided her (the widow, margin) from my mother's womb." Sept. "I fed him as a father, Theodotion adds, and was his leader from," &c. It was my earliest delight to assist the afflicted orphan and widow. H.
Ver. 20. Blessed me for clothing. M.
Ver. 21. Gate, in judgment, (C.) where I was the supreme judge, (H.) and none could resist me.
Ver. 22. With. Heb. "from its bone," at the elbow. Sept. C.

Ver. 24. Fine obrizo. Heb. cethem. C. xxviii. 15. H.
Ver. 27. Rejoiced. Heb. and Chal. "been seduced" to idolatry. M. --- The worship of the sun and moon was most ancient. Ezec. viii. 16. --- Mouth, to testify respect and admiration. This custom prevailed in many nations. Lucian (dial. de sacrif.) observes that this only sacrifice of the poor was not disregarded. The Syrians still extend their hands towards the altar, and then apply them to their mouth and eyes, when the body and blood of Christ are offered in the Mass. Life of M. de Chateuil. C. --- Sept. (26) "Do I not see the shining sun eclipsed, (H.) and the moon disappear, for light does not belong to them," but to the Creator, from whom we have every thing; (C.) so that we should not swell with pride. Theodotion adds, (27) "and if my heart was secretly deceived." Sept. continue, "if indeed, putting my hand to my mouth, I kissed, (28) this would also be imputed to me as a great transgression, because I should have acted falsely before the most high God." H. --- He will admit of no rival; hence the man who admits another god, denies Him. M. --- Job repels the charge which had been indirectly brought against him. W.
Ver. 29. Rejoiced. Heb. "lifted up myself." Sept. "said in my heart, well, well;" euge. H. --- These sentiments of perfection shew that the same Spirit animated those who lived under the law of nature, as well as those who were favoured with the Mosaic or Christian dispensation. C.
Ver. 30. For. Sept. "Then let mine ear hear my curse, and may I fall a prey to the whispers of my people."
Ver. 31. Filled. If my servants have not testified sufficient affection for me, (H.) because I kept them under restraint, and obliged them to wait on my guests, (M. S. Greg.) I still would not omit that duty; (v. 32. H.) or if they gave way to the greatest excesses of rage, so as to threaten to devour me, I refrained from wishing any evil to my enemy, v. 30. C. --- Others suppose that Job's domestics urged him on to revenge, and spoke as if they were ready to eat his enemies; (Cajet. T.) while some explain the expression in a contrary sense, to denote the extreme attachment of Job's servants to his person; in which manner the Church uses it, speaking of Christ's feeding us with his own body and blood. C. --- Sept. "If frequently my maids said who?" &c. Heb. "said not, oh! that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied." Prot. H. --- Have I given my servants any reason to utter these expressions?
Ver. 33. A man. Heb. "Adam," who, to excuse himself, threw the blame upon Eve. Gen. iii. 12. C. --- His posterity have too frequently imitated his example. The name of Adam often designates any man. H. --- It was requisite that Job should assert his sincerity, that his friends might not suppose that he was actuated by self-love or obstinacy to defend his innocence. C. --- Sept. "If falling into an involuntary fault I hid my sin, (for I feared not the crowd of people, that I should not plead before them) but if I let the needy pass my gate with his bosom empty." Theod. xxxv. subjoins, "who would give me a hearer? but if I did not revere the hand of the Lord." Sept. go on, "the bond which I had against any one, if I placed on my shoulder, as a crown, and read, an did not rather tear it, and give it up, taking nothing from my debtor. If," &c. v. 38. According to this version, Job insists on his pity for the distressed, and shews that he had no reason to fear. But the Hebrew is more conformable to the Vulg.
Ver. 34. Have not. Heb. "that I kept silence, not going out of doors" to defend the innocent. H. --- Moses commands judges to do their duty without fear. Ex. xxiii. 2. People in such situations ought to be uninfluenced by hatred, love, &c. Cæsar says, justly, (in Sallust) "qui de rebus dubiis consultant, ab adio, amicitiâ, irá atque misericordia vacuos esse decet. Haud facilè animus verum providet, ubi illa officiunt." H.
Ver. 35. He himself. Heb. "my adversary would write a book." His very accusation would establish my cause, provided he adhered to the truth. C. --- I would carry it about as a trophy. H. --- A book. The judge wrote down the sentence. Job appeals to God, and fears not being condemned.
Ver. 36. Crown. This shews that something pliable was then used to write on. The people of the East still lift up to their heads such letters as they respect. Chardin Perse, p. 218. See 4 K. xi. 12. C.
Ver. 37. To a. Heb. "as a prince would I approach to him," and not fear my adversary. H.
Ver. 38. Mourn, as if I possessed the land unjustly, or had committed some crime.
Ver. 39. Money. Or paying for them. M. --- And have. Prot. "or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life."
Ver. 40. Thorns. Prot. "cockle." Marg. "loathsome weeds." H. --- The precise import of the word is not known; but it means something "stinking." C. --- Sept. Batos, "a briar." H. --- Ended. Many Latin editions omit these words with S. Gregory, &c. The old Vulg. has & quieverunt verba Job, as a title. C. --- Sept. place at the beginning of the next chapter, "And Job ceased to speak. His three friends also left off contending with Job; for Job was just before them." Grabe substitutes "himself," as they were not perhaps yet convinced. H. - Job, however, addresses his discourse no more to them, but only to God, (C.) acknowledging some unadvised speeches; (W.) or want of information. H.

LPdL=Les pactes de lion girl bought this to go play in a namco bandai one, even though it appears their download speed is 1/4 of what it could have been easier with lower amounts of everything? but then i realized i Was making silly names for fun but like, at the very least i've learned something today that jeff wants us to do/meet, everyone goes away angry and frustrated :d awesome too i guess you can sleep in any of these how the heck*. June is the high season for Lisbon’s festivals – but not for sardines
Lisbon Sardine Festival 2018 – The Feast of St. Anthony in June said an update that hit my inbox a few days ago.
No it’s not – it’s a religious event where the Lisboetas celebrate St. Antonio with parties in all Lisbon’s neighborhoods.
Already last week the first outdoor tents opened here in Graca – and last night when we walked to Chinatown through Mouraria restaurant there were colorful garlands tied up between all the houses, tents on all squares where the local sports clubs, Unions, scouts, groceries etc serve fast food from the grills that cover everything in the smoke from the sausage, bifanas, and sardines.
We just love this time of the year.
It’s very colorful, crazy and very lively with happy people everywhere.
But sardines? No way!
Insider advice for food lovers: Don’t eat the sardines.
We are fish lovers. So to us it was strange that we didn’t like the sardines we forced ourselves to eat every year when we saw them on the St Antonio Grills. From the first bites we knew that it was a mistake – the sour hick-ups that followed the first bite prepared us for the following days unpleasant after taste.
Don’t eat the sardines until Carlos says its OK
We were very sceptic when Catarina told us not to eat the sardines. But not only did she run the best Tasca in town – her husband comes from a family of fishermen and brought the fish Catarina served from her kitchen – so she should know.
We followed her advise. A month later we got phone call: They are here… intuitively we knew what she mend and rushed to the restaurant where all our local friends already were sitting at the table waiting for the new sardines to get served.
Catarina was right. The fish she served had nothing to do with the bad-smelling, fat tasting ones we we’re used to eat at the festivals a month before. And at all the previous years festivals.
It was back in 2016 we met The Sardine God as I blogged. Since then we have never touch the sardines before the seasons starts at the end of July – beginning of August.
4 Summer festivals in 2017 dedicated to sardines:
Festa da Sardinha 2017 – São Domingos de Rana (nearby Cascais): July 28th – 30th
Festival da Sardinha 2017 – Portimão (Algarve): August 2nd – 6th
Mercado da Sardinha 2017 – Cascais: August 3rd – 6th
Festas do Barrete Verde 2017 – Grilled Sardine Night – Alcochete (nearby Lisbon): August 12th
Food Lovers: Four Sardine Festivals you shouldn’t miss – follow Taste of Lisboa for information of the dates for 2018
St Antonio 2017 in Graca – MEO Super serves food
Piglet on the BBQ on the Graca Miradouro
Last year Cafe do Monte served the best Bifanas in town
Don’t panic – its easy to get the BBQ treat during St Antonio.
St Antonio is promoted as the festival of Sardines. But that’s not true. Originally St. Antonio is a festival where singles meet other singles… or something like that (St Antonio is called the match maker).
You get sardines – but the real sardine festivals are much later.
But NO PANIC. Next to the sardines you will find Bifanas, pregos, chorizos and other local delicacies that goes fantastic with a Caneca (large beer) or an Imperial (Small beer) or a glass of vino verde.
And if you can’t resist the sardines – go ahead. Even the Portuguese do that. But just keep in mind that the ones you eat have nothing to do with the beauties you get served in August. And if you wake up with severe hangovers – then you know why 🙂
Have a fantastic Festival!!!

Drawn Together: Chapter 9
Slightly early with this, but who cares. Before you go on reading this one, I have a few people I’d like to thank for making this chapter possible. I’d like to thank @aph-germany and @poteredifata in the GerIta chat for sharing their Chibitalia x HRE headcanons. I can’t thank them enough. Enjoy.
'Their whole world changed after that. Otto stopped blushing as often as he used to and Alice wasn't as carefree as she used to be, opening up her shy side to Otto. It was unusual, but it was perfect. They just had to hide it really well.
Of course, they told Elizabeta the minute they saw her when they returned. She congratulated them and baked them a cake to celebrate. Alice also got to cry her eyes out about her parents' death on someone who knew what that was. She got better over time, thinking about her brother and how to sneak a few kisses with Otto while he was studying.
However hard they tried to hide it, other people noticed something was different about the two of them. Luckily, The Queen didn't for now, as Otto pestered her with endless deals on getting Romano to serve at their castle. Otto has been fighting that battle for a long while, almost as long as getting to go to Venice. He just hoped to save Alice's brother before it was too late.
Their one issue now was sharing a bed. Elizabeta made it very clear on multiple ocassions that she would not have them share a bed anymore. She was fighting a losing battle though, Otto would never let Alice go back to servants' chambers. It was something he would not allow even over his dead body. Alice stood neutral here. On one hand, she understood Elizabeta's worries. On the other, she just couldn't live without Otto's sweet goodnight kisses.
Speaking of kisses, they would steal them from each other whenever they could, whenever they were absolutely sure no one was looking. They would often kiss in Elizabeta's presence. She wouldn't tell anyone after all. No matter how much it annoyed her.'
Feliciano giggled. Something about Ludwig's writing gave away that he was never truly in love before. It was sweet but sad at the same time. Feliciano didn't know what he would do in a world without love. Any kind of love. He just assumed he would be horribly unhappy with everything. The irony.
"Maybe Lovi feels that way too?" He said to himself, not even realizing he said it out loud.
"I think I should apologise." He said, this time he meant to say it out loud, and got up from the bed. On the way down he spotted Romeo entering their yard. So he's home too now.
Feliciano found Lovino sitting at the table, his face covered by his arms as he clutched the phone in his hand. This was a sign to Feliciano that Lovino has been terribly hurt.
Feliciano sat by his side and Lovino offered him a small glance before returning to his wailing. Feliciano took a deep breath.
"Hey, Lovi." He said.
Lovino didn't move. "What?"
"I'm sorry about before. I shouldn't have snooped around your phone. I just want you to know that I support you, so... yeah..."
Lovino smiled, but Feliciano couldn't see it. "Thanks."
Romeo entered the house in that moment. Feliciano put his arm around Lovino's back and whispered in his ear, careful so that Romeo couldn't hear. "Tell Toni that if he ever hurts you, I will personally cremate him before his time."
Lovino laughed. Sincerely laughed. The wonderful sound reserved only for those closest to Lovino. Feliciano was taken aback for a moment, not expecting his brother to laugh at that.
"Thanks, Feli." Lovino said.
Romeo entered the kitchen in that moment. "What's all this family bonding without me?" He asked.
Feliciano laughed. "Nothing, Meo. I was telling Lovi about the story. They kissed by the way."
"Oh that's cute. I wish someone would smooch smooch me." Romeo laughed and grabbed some juice from the fridge.
"Me too." Feliciano added.
Lovino rolled his eyes, grabbing Feliciano by his back and pulling him closer. "Now, you two. We must act the good old fashioned Christian way. That means no smooching until you're married with children."
"You sound like Nonno!" Romeo squeeled.
"No, I don't." Lovino calmly said.
"Yeah, you do! Tell him Feli!"
"You did sound like Nonno just now!" Feliciano added.
"You guys need to check your hearing." Lovino remarked.
"Anyway, can I read you guys some parts from the story? It's kinda lonely to read upstairs alone." Feliciano asked.
"Okay." Romeo answered.
"I guess." Lovino added.
"Sweet! I'll go get the book."
While Feliciano was climbing up to his room to get the book, Lovino and Romeo made themselves comfortable on the sofa and a couch, leaving Feliciano with his trusty old bean bag. He returned soon after that.
"Okay so, for context, Otto's a prince, Alice is a maid from Venice and they are very in love. Elizabeta is their friend and the Queen is a bitch." Both boys snorted out at Feliciano's swearing. He only ever does that when he hates someone. "And they had their first kiss on the Rialto Bridge in last chapter. That's all you need to know for now."
"Okay. Get to the story." Lovino commented.
"Alright, here it goes." Feliciano said and read aloud.
'One such instance happened a few days ago, when Alice forced Otto to help her and Elizabeta out while baking cookies. The two had been fairily normal for a short while, until Otto got some flour on his nose.
"Aww! Look at him, Betty. He's so cute." Alice teased.
"Indeed he is. You got some flour on your nose, darling." Elizabeta added.
Otto blushed his signature red, but as he went to wipe it away from his nose, Alice reached and did it for him. Elizabeta rolled her eyes. Otto covered his face with his hands. With hands full of flour.
"Ugh!" Alice groaned. He might be her beautiful prince, but he's her idiot as well.
This time Elizabeta decided to wipe it away. With a rough rag, leaving Otto's face redder than before.
"That looks like it hurts." Alice commented, gently running her fingers up and down Otto's cheeks.
"It does. Please don't do that, love." He said, placing his hand on Alice's, removing it from his face.
Alice smiled. "Well, that means there's no other place for me to kiss other than your lips." Leaning in, she pecked Otto.
Smiling, he pulled her back in for a longer kiss. As cute as it was for her, Elizabeta was starting to get sick of all this romance, shooing them both away to their room. She grinned to herself once they left. All these leftover cookies for her.'
"I would do that too!" Romeo commented.
"Of course you would." Lovino answered back, a tone of sarcasm and amusement in his voice.
Feliciano rolled his eyes at his two brothers and continued.
'Other than baking and annoying Elizabeta, the two also engaged in activities involving sneaking out. Mostly at night.
Since Elizabeta prohibited any kind of cuddling at night by building a wall between them, they had to find other alternatives. This included their favorite activity: stargazing.
Back in the days when her grandfather was alive, Alice used to sneak out to find him sitting in their garden, looking up the stars with tears in his eyes.
"Your grandma is out there, Alice. She's waiting for all of us with her homemade cookies. The sky is her cookie tray. Look right there," he used to tell her as she got herself comfortable in his lap, pointing at the stars, "that's The Big Dipper, your grandma's favorite cookie. See how big it is, see how the stars make wonderful decorations on it. Soon, you'll bake like that too." He would say.
Alice looked back on those days with strange fondness and sadness. Everyone but her and Romano went to see grandma and eat her cookies. What a horrible lonely feeling it was.
"Alice? Are you alright?" Otto asked her one night when she got too quiet.
"I'm just thinking of my family. They are all up there eating grandma's cookies while Romano and I are still here on this world, suffering." She answered, wiping away a few tears that treathened to fall down her cheeks.
Otto brought her closer to himself, resting his arm around Alice's tiny back, kissing her neck and shoulder slowly. "I know it's hard, love, but you have got to keep your chin up. They left this world having so much hope for you and your brother. Now really isn't the time to disappoint them. I know you wish you could join them, but they would be sad knowing that you never got to see the world properly. Raise your chin far up so that they could see your smile. And so that I can kiss you properly."
Alice laughed, her little prince has become obsessed with her kisses, but who was she to deny him. She did as she was told, raising her chin up so that their lips could meet without obstacles. It was strange how every new kiss became sweeter and sweeter each time, almost like Otto had been stealing her caramels.
"Have you been stealing my caramels?" Alice asked, pulling back from the kiss.
Otto's entire face heated up, any attempts to cover it would just reveal to Alice that he had in fact been stealing them. Which was anything but good. So he just blinked his eyes and gave her a sheepish smile, hoping that she would forgive him.
Alice made an attempt to look mad, but failed. She laughed for a bit, pinching Otto's cheeks. "They make your kisses sweeter." Otto sighed in relief, she forgave him.
Looking back up, Alice smiled. "You know, there are so many constellations up there. Do you know any?" She asked.
"Just a few. I was never that much of a star lover." Otto answered.
"Well," Alice started, smirking, "that's about to change. See that one over there," she pointed to a big cluster of stars to their upper left, "that's Big Mouse."
Otto laughed. "I'm pretty sure Big Mouse doesn't exist."
Alice huffed out, visibly offended by his statement. "Of course it does! Are you calling me, the granddaughter of one of Venice's richest sailors, a liar?"
Otto had to cover his mouth to prevent any more giggles from escaping his mouth. "Alright, alright, you're right. Okay then, what's this one called?" He pointed to their upper right to a small group of stars.
"Oh that's Ginny." Alice said confidently.
Otto smiled, Lord, she was playing him, but she was too cute and confident in this. "How is that a constellation?" He asked.
"Because I said so." Alice said nonchalantly.
"Then," Otto smirked, "what's this cute one called?" And he pointed at her.
Alice blushed a light pink color, poking Otto's nose before answering: "I'm not a constellation, I'm your girlfriend." And she kissed him with the biggest smile on her face.'
"Aww, they are adorable, aren't the-" Feliciano stopped, looking around. Both of his brothers have fallen asleep while he was reading. Worse, Feliciano could not find it inside himself to wake them up.
Instead, he got a clever idea. He run up the stairs as quietly as he could, not even stumbling once on that one pesky stair from nightmares, and up to his room for the only thing no one can live without. The phone.
Feliciano grabbed it from its charging. He didn't use it much, not because he didn't want to, but because his battery would drain after a single use. He should really buy a new one. Feliciano opened Whatsapp and quickly looked for Antonio's number. His battery at 50%.
His mind went blank for a minute. He knew what he wanted to say, but he didn't know how to put it in words. Writing and erasing a few times, he settled for something fairily simple.
♡~Feli~♡: Heyy ♡~Feli~♡: Listen I know about you and Lovi ♡~Feli~♡: Please take good care of my brother ♡~Feli~♡: I dont want to find him beaten in the trash can
Feliciano shut his phone off, his battery dropping to 15%, and put it back to charging, ready to return to his reading.
He walked back to the living room, kissing Lovino's, then Romeo's, foreheads and returned to his wonderful love story between Alice and Otto.
'Their happiness continued on for two years. Otto had to deal with his mother's constant nagging on when he'll find a suitable wife to marry and bear him children. He persisted, claiming that he wasn't ready, although, in reality, he had many plans on how he'll ask Alice to marry him.
Alice was at her happiest, she found her brother and they were living peacefully together. Romano was left in the dark about her developed relationship with Otto. It was better this way, she wouldn't want him to freak out.
Their relationship kept on going steady, much to Elizabeta's dismay, as the two would be kissing in every single corner of the castle, preventing her from doing her job as a maid. She was glad that they were happy, but they could always tone it down a little.
They found a new activity, which was perfect as it was a continuation of their previous one. Watching the sunrise was now their moment, cuddling close to each other in the garden and kissing the moment sun peaked out in the sky. It was beautiful. It was their own.
"What in the world?" They heard someone asking from across the garden, breaking their moment, both looking at the source of the voice. Otto's heart broke when he saw a shining crown on said person's head. This can't be happening. They could run. They could run as fast as they can as far away as they can. But they could not move a single muscle. Their bodies were like stones, sitting unmoving in the claws of time.
The person, now identified as The Queen herself, marched forward to them. Her fists clenched until her knuckles turned pure white, the wide steps she was taking in her walk drew Otto and Alice closer together. They braced for the impact.
The Queen grabbed Alice by her hair and yanked her away from Otto, making her fall into the rose bush. Otto reacted instantly, rising on his feet to fight off his mother and help Alice, but his actions only earned him a slap across his face. Alice cried out, irritating the Queen further who proceeded to step on the side of her torso with her heels. Luckily for Alice, the majority of the Queen's weight wasn't on the foot that was steping on her, otherwise, Alice would have died. She had to defend herself from her son after all.
"So this is what you have chosen? A filthy maid? I raised you to do better than this, you poor excuse of a human! This is how you repay me for birthing you!" She hit Alice with her shoe, driving the poor girl further into the thorny bushes. "This good for nothing, ugly maid!" The Queen hit Alice one more time before Otto managed to push her down, breaking free from the Queen's defensive hands.
He jumped at her, pulling her hair out and trying desparately to give Alice some time to run away. Alice wished she could have, but the Queen grabbed at her hair with no intention of ever letting go, not to mention that she could barely move in the thorns and from the pain on her side.
The Queen had no intention of fighting with her son either, calling for the nearby guards to take her mad son away. They did that in an instant, grabbing at Otto and pulling him away as he tried to break free and help his beloved. The tears were already welling up in his eyes, the pain of losing Alice breaking him into dust like pieces.
The Queen finally stood on her feet, taller than ever before. "Take him inside, I will deal with this pest here." She said, pointing to Alice who was crying harder than ever before. "Be quiet, you rat! You started this all! You are going to pay for it!" She yelled, dragging poor Alice away by her hair. She tried to break free, but it was all in vain. She could only scream for her beloved as they were both being taken away from each other.
The sun on the horizon no longer shone. Its shine had been taken away by the clouds. Dark days were upon these children. The hardest days of their lives.'

Would I be healthier if I quit drinking? My quest to understand the real tradeoffs of alcohol consumption.
The after-work gin and tonic. The bottle of wine over dinner. A few beers on the weekend. Before long, the alcohol adds up.
Is that a problem? Can drinking stand in the way of your health and fitness? Do you need to quit drinking to change your body? Or could it actually be good for you?
In this article we explore the question in a personal way.
++++
“Should I take a break from booze?”
Have you ever asked yourself this question?
I’ve asked it, as have many of our Precision Nutrition Coaching clients.
At the same time, like many of our clients, I’ve never really felt like I needed to quit drinking. My consumption is normal by most accounts, as is theirs. It’s “moderate.”
But boozy beverages seem to show up a lot in my life — and I know I’m not alone in that.
Maybe we like having a beer to mark the end of a work day. Maybe on Friday we get fancy with a cocktail.
Something to celebrate? Pour a little champagne. Crappy day? That Chardonnay or Cabernet will soften the edges a little bit.
The drinks can start to add up.
If we consider ourselves healthy people, alcohol is easy to justify. We exercise. We try to eat nutritious food. If we’re getting coaching, we know we’re working on our stuff.
But still. Some of us wonder…
Are we OK?
Are we justifying something we shouldn’t?
Are we ignoring the elephant in the room who’s currently dancing with a lampshade on its head and laughing a little too loud while telling off-color jokes?
Are we pretending craft beer or red wine is a health food because it’s artisanal or full of antioxidant something-something?
If we want to be healthy, fit, and functional, how does alcohol factor in?
As I discovered, the answer isn’t straightforward. (It rarely is.)
For one thing:
You may have heard that drinking is actually good for you.
Moderate alcohol intake is associated with a lower risk of diabetes, gallstones, and coronary heart disease.
Light to moderate drinking seems to be good for the heart and circulatory system, helping reduce your risk of cardiac arrest and clot-caused stroke by 25 to 40 percent.
And there have been several studies indicating that drinkers — even heavy drinkers — actually outlive people who don’t drink.
We see headlines like this every time a new study comes out, which seems fairly often, judging by my newsfeed.
An important point that seems to get buried:
If you don’t already drink, health experts recommend you don’t start.
Wait, what? If drinking is so good for you, then why not add that antioxidant-rich red wine to MyPlate — a nice goblet right where the milk used to be?
Because no one knows if any amount of alcohol is actually good for all of us.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you not to drink.
That’s not what this article is about.
But, despite all the headlines and pro-drinking studies:
Most of the research on alcohol’s potential health benefits are large, long-term epidemiological studies.
This type of research never proves anything.
Rather than showing that X causes Y, it simply says that X seems to be correlated with Y.
So even though many studies suggest that light to moderate drinkers have lower rates of the above-mentioned health problems than non-drinkers, that doesn’t mean drinking causes those benefits.
Sure, it could be that alcohol consumption raises HDL (“good”) cholesterol. Or it could be that moderate drinking reduces stress.
Or it could be that drinking doesn’t cause any health benefit.
Rather, it could be that people who drink a light to moderate amount also have something else going on in their lives, unrelated to alcohol consumption, that keeps them healthier, such as:
robust and resilient genes
a lower-stress personality
a particular lifestyle
good social connections and support
We just don’t know for sure.
Any physiological effects would vary from person to person.
The amount of alcohol that may help your heart health might harm your friend’s — for instance, if they have a history of high blood pressure.
And most of the research indicates that you’d have to be a light to moderate drinker with no heavy drinking episodes (even isolated ones) to see a heart benefit.
OK, given that…
What is “moderation”, anyway?
Definitions vary around the world, but according to the United States Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, “moderate drinking” means, on average:
For women: up to seven drinks per week, with no more than three drinks on any single day.
For men: up to 14 drinks per week, with no more than four drinks on any single day.
And here’s a guide to health-agency classified “drinks”:
Sure, you might know you’re not a binge drinker (that’s five or more drinks for men, or upwards of four for women, within two hours).
But when was the last time you poured wine in a measuring cup, or tallied your total number of drinks at the end of the week, or calculated your weekly average in a given month, or adjusted your tally to account for that sky-high 9.9% ABV Strong Ale you love?
Studies show that people routinely, sometimes drastically, underestimate their alcohol consumption.
It’s easy to edge into the “heavy” category without realizing it.
For example, if you’re a woman:
That’s a big problem, since heavy drinking comes with a much higher risk of major health problems.
Risks associated with moderate and heavy alcohol consumption
Moderate Heavy Heart Arrhythmias High blood pressure Kidney disease Heart disease Stroke Brain Disinhibition Altered judgement Poor coordination Sleep disruption Alcoholism* Chemical dependence Depression Alcoholism Neurological damage Epilepsy Dementia Damage to developing brains Immunity Infection / illness / lowered immune response Cancer (mouth, throat, esophagus, liver, breast) Damaged intestinal barrier Increased inflammation / flare-ups of autoimmune disorders Hormones Breast cancer Hormone disruption Impaired sexual function Impaired reproductive function Thyroid disease Liver Worsening of existing conditions such as hepatitis Fatty liver Alcoholic hepatitis Fibrosis / cirrhosis Hepatocellular Liver cancer Metabolism Weight gain or stalled weight loss** Interference with some medications Loss of bone density Bone fractures Osteoporosis Anemia Pancreatitis Changes to fat metabolism Muscle damage
*Particularly if there’s alcoholism in your family **If drinking causes you to eat more food or opt for energy-dense meals
In young males especially, even moderate drinking increases the risk of accidental injury or death, due to the “Hey y’all, hold my beer and watch this!” effect, or simply the dangerous equation of youthful exuberance combined with less impulse control, combined with more peer pressure, combined with things like motor vehicles and machinery.
All drinking comes with potential health effects.
After all, alcohol is technically a kind of poison that our bodies must convert to less-harmful substances for us to enjoy a good buzz relatively safely.
Through a series of chemical pathways using the enzymes alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), we convert ethanol to acetaldehyde, then to acetate. The body breaks acetate down into carbon dioxide and water.
A second system for processing alcohol, the microsomal ethanol oxidizing system (MEOS), involves cytochrome P450 (CYP), an enzyme group that chemically affects potentially toxic molecules (such as medications) so they can be safely excreted.
In light to moderate drinkers, only about 10 percent of ethanol processing is done by the MEOS. But in heavy drinkers, this system kicks in more strongly. That means the MEOS may be less available to process other toxins. Oxidative cell damage, and harm from high alcohol intake, then goes up.
The biochemistry doesn’t matter as much as the core concepts:
1. We have to change alcohol to tolerate it.
2. Our ability to process alcohol depends on many factors, such as:
our natural individual genetic tolerance
our ethnicity and genetic background (for instance, many people of East Asian ancestry have a genetically-linked aldehyde dehydrogenase enzyme deficiency, which affects their ability to properly metabolize alcohol)
our age
our body size
our biological sex
our individual combinations of conversion enzymes
etc.
3. Dose matters. But all alcohol requires some processing by the body.
So what’s the “sweet spot”?
What amount of alcohol balances enjoyment (and your jokes becoming funnier) with your body’s ability to respond and recover from processing something slightly poisonous?
The moderate-vs-heavy guidelines are the experts’ best guess at the amount of alcohol that can be consumed with statistically minimal risk, while still accounting for what a lot of people are probably going to do anyway: drink.
It doesn’t mean that moderate drinking is risk-free.
But drinking is fun. (There, I said it.)
In North America, we tend to separate physical well-being from our emotional state. In reality, quality of life, enjoyment, and social connections are important parts of health.
So let me say it:
I enjoy drinking.
So do a lot of other people.
In the U.S., for example, 65 percent of people say they consume alcohol. Of those drinkers, at least three quarters enjoy alcohol one or more times per week.
The wine flows at lunchtime in continental Europe (for Scandinavians, its the light beer lättöl). Hitting a pub or two after work is standard procedure in the UK and Japan. Northern Europeans swear by their brennivin, glögg, or akvavit (not to mention vodka). South America and South Africa alike are renowned for their red wines.
Thus, for much of the world’s population, alcohol — whether beer, wine or spirits — is something of a life staple.
And if you’re doing it right — meaning tasteful New Year’s Eve champagne toasts are more common in your life than shot-fueled bar dances to “Hotline Bling” — there are some undeniable benefits to be gained:
Pleasure: Assuming you’ve graduated from wine coolers and cheap tequila shots, alcoholic beverages usually taste pretty darn delicious.
Leisure: A bit of alcohol in your bloodstream does help you feel relaxed. And like a good meal, a good glass of wine should offer the opportunity to slow down for a minute.
Creativity: There’s evidence that when you’re tipsy, you may be more successful at problem-solving thanks to increased out-of-the-box thinking.
Social connection: Drinking may contribute to social bonding through what researchers call “golden moments” — when you all smile and laugh together over the same joke. This sense of community, belonging, and joy can contribute to your health and longevity.
If you’re going to drink, drink because you genuinely enjoy it.
Drink if it truly adds value and pleasure to your life.
Not because:
you’re stressed
it’s a habit
other people around you don’t want to drink alone; or
it’s “good for you”.
With confusing alcohol consumption categories and contradictory news headlines, many people give up trying to decide whether drinking is healthy or not.
A new study shows alcohol may be harmful? Whatever.
Or:
Drinkers live longer? I’ll hop on that horse and ride it straight to the bar!
So forget about the potential health benefits of alcohol.
There are plenty of (probably better) ways to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease — like eating well, exercising, and not smoking.
Wanting the enjoyment of a perfect Old Fashioned or a rare sake is a legitimate — probably the best — reason to drink.
As with what you eat, what you drink should be purposeful and mindful. And delicious.
Drinking or not drinking isn’t about “healthy vs. not”. It’s about tradeoffs.
Alcohol is just one factor among many that affect physical performance, health, and fitness.
Whether to keep drinking or cut back depends on how much you drink, what your goals are, and how you want to prioritize those things.
Only you know what you are, or aren’t, willing to trade.
It may be a simple “yes” or “no”.
Saying “yes” to six-pack abs might mean saying “no” to a few drinks at the bar.
Saying “yes” to Friday happy hour might mean saying “no” to your Saturday morning workout.
Saying “yes” to marathon training might mean saying “no” to boozy Sunday brunches.
Saying “yes” to better sleep (and focus, and mood) might mean saying “no” to your daily wine with dinner.
Saying “yes” to moderate alcohol consumption might mean finding a way to say “no” to stress triggers (or human triggers) that make you want to drink more.
Or it may be where you’re willing to move along the continuum.
Maybe you’re willing to practice drinking more slowly and mindfully, but you’re not willing to decrease your total alcohol intake.
Maybe you’re trying to lose weight, so you’d consider drinking a little less. Like 2 beers instead of 3, but not 0.
Or, maybe you’re willing to stay sober during most social situations, but you’re not willing to endure your partner’s office party without a G&T on hand.
Maybe there is a “best” answer for how much alcohol is okay for everyone. But we don’t know what it is yet.
At least not for certain.
That’s OK.
You can write your own “Owner’s Manual” for YOU as a unique individual.
Guidelines for drinking don’t tell us who YOU are or what effects alcohol has on YOU.
So let’s forget about “expert” advice for just a moment.
Instead, let’s try letting your body lead.
Read its cues. Observe yourself carefully, gather data, and see how alcohol is — or isn’t — working for you.
Here’s how.
What to do next: Some tips from Precision Nutrition
1. Observe your drinking habits.
Keep track of all the alcohol you drink for a week or two (here’s a worksheet to help you).
You don’t need to share it with anyone or feel like you need to change anything. Just collect the info.
Next, review the data. Ask:
Am I drinking more than I thought? Maybe you hadn’t been taking the couple of casual beers with Sunday NFL into account.
Is my drinking urgent, mindless, or rushed? Slamming drinks back without stopping to savor them can be a sign that drinking is habitual, not purposeful.
Are there themes or patterns in my drinking? Perhaps you habitually over-drink on Friday because your job is really stressful.
Is alcohol helping me enjoy life, or is it stressing me out? If you’re not sleeping well or feeling worried about the drinking, the cost can outweigh the benefit.
Does alcohol bring any unwanted friends to the party? Binge eating, drug use, texting your ex?
If any of the answers to these questions raise red flags for you, consider cutting back and seeing how you feel.
2. Notice how alcohol affects your body.
Use Precision Nutrition’s “how’s that working for you?” litmus test. Ask:
Do I generally feel good? Simple, but telling.
Am I recovering? How’s my physical performance after drinking? If I were to hit the gym on Saturday morning after a Friday night social, how would I feel and perform?
What happens afterwards? Do I get a hangover, upset stomach, poor sleep, puffiness/bloating and/or other discomfort?
How does the extra energy intake work for my goals? Is alcohol adding some calories that I don’t want? Am I trying to lose weight, for instance?
What do my other physiological indicators say? What did my latest medical tests suggest? How’s my blood work? My blood pressure? Any other physiological indicators that I’m watching?
If you’re unsure about whether your alcohol use is helping or hurting you, talk to your doctor and get a read on your overall health.
3. Notice how alcohol affects your thoughts, emotions, assumptions, and general perspective on life.
Again: How’s that working for you?
Do you feel in control of your drinking? Are you choosing, deliberately and purposefully… or “finding yourself” drinking?
What kind of person are you when you are drinking? Are you a bon vivant, just slightly wittier and more relaxed, savoring a craft beer with friends? Or are you thinking, Let’s make that crap circus of a workday go away, as you pound back the liquid emotional anesthetic through gritted teeth?
If you had to stop drinking for a week, what would that be like? No big deal? Or did you feel mild panic when you read that question?
4. Play “Let’s Make a Deal”.
To pinpoint which goals and activities in your life are the most important to you, ask yourself:
What am I currently saying “yes” to?
What am I currently saying “no” to?
What am I willing to say “yes” to?
What am I willing to say “no” to?
What am I prepared to say “yes” and “no” to? Why?
There are no right or wrong answers.
Just choices and compromises.
You’re a grown-up who can think long-term and weigh options rationally. Whether you drink or not is your call.
5. Disrupt the autopilot.
One of the keys to behavior change is moving from unconscious, automatic reactions to conscious, deliberate decisions.
To experiment with decreasing your alcohol intake, try these strategies:
Delay your next drink. Just for 10 minutes, to see if you still want it.
Look for ways to circumvent your patterns. If you usually hit the bar after work, try booking an alcohol-free activity (like a movie date or a yoga class) with a friend instead. If you stock up on beer at the grocery store, skip that aisle altogether and pick up some quality teas or sparkling water instead.
Savor your drink. Tune into the sensations in front of you. Here’s an idea: try tasting wine like a sommelier. Look at it, swirl it, sniff it, taste it.
Swap quantity for quality. Drink less, but when you do drink, treat yourself to the good stuff.
6. Call on the experts.
Change almost always works better with support. It’s hard to change alone.
Talk to your doctor about your drinking patterns and your health.
Consider genetic testing. Many commercial genetic testing services can tell you about your alcohol tolerance, or your risk of other chronic diseases (such as breast cancer) that are linked to alcohol intake.
Get nutrition coaching. Precision Nutrition coaches specialize in helping clients optimize diet and lifestyle patterns for good.
7. If you choose to drink, enjoy it.
Savor it. Enjoy it mindfully, ideally among good company.
If you’re a coach, or you want to be…
Learning how to coach clients, patients, friends, or family members through healthy eating and lifestyle changes (including how to manage energy balance) — in a way that supports long-term progress — is both an art and a science.
